Great fightback in the 2nd session 4/81.
4/221 at tea. The game is almost back to even money.
Cooper Connolly picked up his first test wicket with a great review. Gaz picked up both Ackram short of his 100 and then Bavuma for 0. Markram holed out to backward square off hazelwood. if we can pick up 2 or 3 after tea and keep it tight the day could belong to us.

An excellent fight back by Australia, it was looking grim for Australia. Starc has matured into a truly great bowler.

It is very surprising that South Africa didn’t shut Australia out of the game when they had the opportunity.

that 2nd new ball was absolutely hooping. I was glad we dragged starcs last over out just long enough to ensure we wouldnt have to pad up.

Also worth noting cummins went wicketless again and its the longest spell without a wicket in his career, over 50 overs.

Cummins will be under pressure to take wickets or eventually it will be impossible to pick him over Boland.

Meanwhile, our other captain (Smith) is unfit to play, if this continues, or if he decides to retire, we would need to give the captaincy to Head.
