This wicket should play like a traditional test wicket, plenty in it for the bowlers on day 1, fantastic for batting day 2 and 3 and will take turn on days 4 and 5. Bolands success and fantastic record is because he only gets selected on green seaming wickets generally. hazelwoods back of a length bowling is going to be the more suited of the 2.
With and old ball, coming back for a 3rd and 4th spell i take hazelwood every day of the week.

his batted well this series despite not going on with it, i think theyl carry him through the summer on flatties where everyone is going to pad their stats, even if he is dropped for the summer he will be straight in for india due to the nature of the conditions.

For marnus sake it would be lovely to see the openers spend atleast 20 overs out there. Batting 3 and coming in inside the first 10 overs with nothing on the board is hardest thing to do, atleast opening you get to play with a certain freedom until that first wicket falls.

Might have looked like there'd be something in it for bowlers, but so far it looks like there's not much in this pitch at all. Maybe a good toss to lose for SA.

Six overs in to get the first false shot does not bode well, considering our strength is our bowling attack.

If SA posts a big score, we could be in real trouble.
