Seriously? You gave the Knights *so* much **** for losing Dom. Worst failure in recruiting in the club's history you said, almost word for word I'm pretty sure. You were his biggest fan. But it's actually good for the Roosters to punt him because "they don't tolerate failure"? Can you square that one with me?
Giving a guy like Dom the kind of deal they did, and giving up on him at age 22 midway through year 2 of that deal, would be called out for what it is if it happened at any other club - complete amateur hour. Who the hell looks at a 22 year old and says "nope this is as good as he'll get, time to pack it in, we can't fix this"? What is Robbo's job if it's not making his players better?
I'm keen to get him back, I don't think we've changed a lot about what we do and he fit our systems like a glove. But imagine him ending up at an actual top club like Melbourne. A true doomsday scenario. He'd score 40 tries a year there.
That's a real top club, Melbourne - they take flawed players & get the best out of them.
Trent Loiero had about as bad a performance as I can remember from any one player at Magic Round. He's named today. And I'd bet anything he makes it up to his teammates with a great game.
