2025 Recruitment And Retention

Hope he gets boo'ed next season.

Anyway, bye bye.

What a double whammy. Pezet tells us no though his path to NRL is blocked, Thompson turns our extension down and the dogs are looking to poach a player whose pathway is blocked.

I wonder how much it would cost to be cryogenically frozen until the Knights are actually good!

Can't say it's surprising.

Not saying there's an obvious readymade replacement but also not going to pretend Leo's irreplaceable or better than he is. Workhorse props aren't exactly a rare breed. Will back O'Sullivan to find something.

Definitely annoying if he's sticking around this season. Hopefully he goes to Canberra and we can get one of their younger forwards (big fan of Mariota) back for an early release, none of the Bulldogs forwards interest me.

My bet is he gets an early release and we get nothing lol

Wow the clubs really kicking goals lately lol

Let the best female player in the game leave and got nothing in return, couldn’t sign a knights junior for big money because he’d rather play QCup, and now losing the best prop we have and most likely his brother next.

Awesome stuff!

Not surprising though, they stuffed up completely by not topping up his contact last year, once he’d relegated DSaf to the bench.

The Knights are one of the last teams that can afford to sit back and let players feel underpaid. It breeds resentment and they’ve let him feel undervalued for almost two years. You do this in any organisation and attempts this late to rectify it are usually too little too late. Should’ve offloaded DSaf last year.

But it’s nothing new, always reactive instead of proactive. They might get away with it bit more with local juniors that don’t want to go elsewhere but can’t afford to do it people you’ve recruited to the club.

Honestly, doesn’t seem like there’s a single person at the club that is actually good at managing people. Oh wait, there was but he’s going to NZ

****ty to lose him as it feels like he doesn’t believe in team and players.

But I have high faith in what we have.

Jsaf
Jones
Crokes
Hopwood
Sua
Bryan
Tyrone.

If Frizell moves there for next two seasons then I think we’re fine.

Great opportunity to see a jump in talent of Hopwood, Bryan and Sua. Tyrone is an unknown but off precedent he’ll be the goods.

I don’t think paying over $850k for a forward is bad management? He’s a prop, he’s replaceable.

Raider will be paying over 900k for two forwards. See how well that pans out for them.

Yeah, still surprising they are chasing him, they will end up losing some of their Young talent when it comes time to upgrade them.
