You're paying on potential with that money currently, last time we did that it was Dsaf.
He's about 650k-700k for me for 2 years. That's double what he's on now, which he's earnt. Then see where he is at for around the 750k, he'd have to be leading the team each week though to earn that.

Nah he's not there yet. We won't be in a bad way if we lose Leo, it'll be **** as fans that likes of himself and Dom, don't stay but they are both replaceable. Hopwood and Sua will be near impossible to keep out of team by years end, let alone Tyrone and Bryan.

I could see horsburgh as a knight. Yeah I don’t quite get it with Canberra. They are stacked with forwards. But Dogs on the other hand could use him. Anyway we need him to stay. I think he is worth 700k with the new salary cap.

On DSaf, were other clubs actually interested? I can’t remember. We were in a bidding war with ourselves! 😂

We need Leo here for the next couple of years while Hopwood and Sau develop a bit more.
It would be good if Leo’s future is finalised sooner rather than later as this ongoing saga can have a negative impact on the rest of the team.
The “drama” doesn’t do anyone any good.
 
Definitely paying for potential with Leo, but you can see he has a high ceiling and can be that dominant forward in the game.

But is he worth the risk now, if we let him go I can't see him coming back.
 
It definitely feels like he is gonna leave. The very fact that he'd drag it out this long shows that at the very least he has every intention of leaving for the best offer. He's looking eyes up and we'll need to be super competitive to keep him.

I don't see how we replace him if we lose him as we desperately need him rn. But surely POS must've known from quite early on that he was going to move DSaf on, the very next question asked is where's his money go, it would've been earmarked for Leo from the start surely they'd have a plan if they lost him?

Realistically we know he has delayed negotiations because of internationals and holidays. Best didn't make a decision until very late last year, though Best is a local so it is harder to think he or Jsaf were to actually leave.

I'd like to think he sees what we are doing here as a great leap in the right direction and we're a good club to play for, with high chance of a premiership run in 26-29 seasons, if not longer.

As for POS, with Hastings and potentially KPP money becoming available in 26 and Brails, we'll have a glut of money to do what we want with.

Will be interesting to see which of those players we keep. Team might look significantly different in 2026.

Elliot I have heard has been told there is no deal for him beyond his current deal. Apparently AOB is frustrated with the errors he makes.

Vossy/Brandy Chammas have some of the worst hit rates going around, and even more so when it comes to the Knights. Especially Chammas. Guy guesses as much as every journo does.

Yeah I've never been a fan of his since coming, think the money can be better spent elsewhere. And it seems like Hetherington will stick around next year. Another one that can look elsewhere beyond 2025.

If he goes, Friz into the middle in 2026... a couple of our young guys will be ready by 26 / 27.
