The Gidley flick
Craig Gower
He pitches his plan for them but has nothing to do with money and years
Wasn't it reported we were already paying him like 700k? Not sure u would pay him any more than that. How much is Bradman worth to us? I'd say $500k-$600k max.
The thing that worries me about Jenkins is that he seems like a rough diamond with things to work on, but he has been in the Penrith system for years, and you usually expect players from that system to be pretty much a finished product.Toohey reckons Tom Jenkins has signed
Dare say he’d be signed for $200-$250k? Fringe first grader, Marz was signed for around $180k first yr. I think it’s Enari’s spot to lose, up to Jenkins/McCarthy/Moceidreke to take it.The thing that worries me about Jenkins is that he seems like a rough diamond with things to work on, but he has been in the Penrith system for years, and you usually expect players from that system to be pretty much a finished product.
I thought the exact opposite when I watched him hahaha. Thought he looked capable and like he understood his role, but with a not particularly high ceiling. The thing that worries me about Jenkins is that he seems like a rough diamond with things to work on, but he has been in the Penrith system for years, and you usually expect players from that system to be pretty much a finished product.
I'm going on watching him in a few reserve grade games where he often looks far too good for that grade, and then makes dumb errors that leave you shaking your head. A Nathan Ross type vibe.I thought the exact opposite when I watched him hahaha. Thought he looked capable and like he understood his role, but with a not particularly high ceiling.
Pretty disappointing if he’s Young’s replacement.
Yep, Jenko is a smart cheap signing.Jenkins is at least young with some form of potential upside, believe he was more of a centre before this season so that could become a factor too.
Starting the season with Tuala likely as first-choice is dire, a couple of handy games against the Dogs and Dragons in the last couple rounds isn't gonna wipe the other 50+ games he's played for us from memory. Was also very average in Cup the handful of times I got to watch him play throughout the season.
Fingers crossed Jenkins can bring something worth starting or hopefully Moceidreke sticks his hand up over the off-season.
