2024 - 2025 Summer of Cricket

India started well today by taking 3 wickets, but Head turned the game around. Head is very dangerous because he when he makes a hundred he goes on to make big hundreds. Smith did take along time to get going but he is batting well now.

Hopefully we can make a big score and put India under a lot of pressure when they bat.

Ian Chappell always said that he told Doug to not worry about the state of the game and just go out at 5th drop and play aggressively, and he said Doug could hit a rapid 50 or 100 and turn the game around in a session.
Head has the same role.
Doug even played the ramp shot in the days when hardly anyone even dared to try it.
 
England having a real sulk at how this game is going ... getting through their overs as slowly as possible, mouthing off at our batsmen, just bowling anyone, took forever to take the new ball and then gave it to Harry Brook. Quite embarrassing to watch for them. You'd think they'd been out there for days the way they're carrying on, but it's only 415/7 off 97 overs!
 
Crawley is unhappy but he is out as well. Both the umpire and ball tracking believe he is out.

It took them 3 tests but the Kiwis are finally playing well.
 
I'd say that will be a rather large fine and possible suspension for Crawley, sums up the day and attitude for England today.

A massive win by New Zealand.

The win has revealed a poor attitude in the English team, because they had the series won, apparently did not want to put up much of a fight when the game didn’t go their way.
 
I have been watching test cricket for nearly 50 years and I can’t remember a test match with so many rain interruptions. It’s very frustrating, the rain has spoilt a very enjoyable test match.
 
Didn’t realise that was day four of the Aus India test … NZ like conditions with all that rain! Will be hard for Aus to force a result from here.
