2023 Recruitment & Retention Thread

No difference in their frames, there wouldn't be much in it.

Murray and Radley aren't big guys is the point you seem to want to miss.

I’m not missing your point. I’m disagreeing with it. I guarantee in the real world not phoney baloney reported weights, Murray and Radley would weigh significantly more, not about the same. And have very different body compositions.

So was it true in AOBs interview we lost 5 weeks of pre-season with covid? Is that an excuse?
The problem with this argument is that we played our best footy of the season in the first 3 rounds of the comp and then fell off a cliff...If you are blaming these pre-season factors affecting your performance across the comp, you've certainly got it @r$e about?!

Players fill out their own profile.
Matt Parsons said he was 120kg every year he was at the Knights. After he retired he said he was usually 130kg but blew out to 140 at times.
Luke Walsh was the opposite. Always claimed to be 80kg, but later said he struggled to stay over 75.

That’s how we end up with nonsense like Jamie Soward allegedly being the same height and weight as Gareth Widdop, or Dave Taylor being only 120kg 😂

It was reported somewhere, (the Herald from memory) about 2 years ago that the coaching staff had decided Kalyn was a few kgs heavier than ideal and to optimise his agility. At the time they reported that they wanted him down from 96kgs to 92kgs.

Who knows how accurate that was.

ponga would easily be 95kg imo. the tv doesnt do justice to his frame. the size and muscle through his upper legs and hips is quite impressive, he could be such a powerful ball runner if he was used that way, shame he isnt coached to have a run first mentality.

The Asofa-Solomona one has to be the worst for weight, 6'7 (200cm) tall and proportionally built, I don't reckon he's been 115kg since he was 12.

Here's an article where he actually talks about his weight - saying he used to play at 135kg but had gotten down to 130 for the finals, that makes much more sense.

Will Pryce apart of Huddersfield departing players list going by this.

So. Next year coming to us??
That's not their departing players list. They got knocked out of the comp and are saying farewell for the season to their fans. Pryce is just in the video a lot, seems to be a bit of a jokester.

French has signed two years with Wigan won’t be joining us next season.

This is a bit dissapointing, I only viewed him as backup but a backup that covers wing/fullback with some upside could've been a handy depth option. Leaves a spot for us to grab someone else though I suppose.
