Don’t need another young prop, really need a strong experienced one, doesn’t have to play long minutes just be a leader and show the way our current batch led? by the Safs lack that quality, someone like Marty Tapau would have been ideal

Can’t say I disagree to be honest. seems to be band-aid solutions rather then long term planning. Hopefully Pryce and KPP come up with the goods in 2024.
 
Don’t expect Pryce and KPP to hit the ground running, more likely baby steps to acclimatise and adjust to new surroundings etc.
Not saying they won’t be good enough early on to be auto selects in firsts but hope they are selected on merit, think they might come along similar to Young and need a preseason and a few games to settle in.

They are probably a bit ahead of Dom though to be honest. Both played multiple seasons at Super League level now, making rep teams and doing good things at the top level. Dom was a complete rookie who couldn't even get a game.

I think KPP will be top 17 immediately. Either straight into centre with Dom or bench Backrow/centre. Pryce i'll be watching close this year, lots of love about his physique just a young man, Hastings was very positive about him. Huddersfield have a great squad this year so if he even makes 17 is unknown yet.

In the meantime we'll have Miller being a very strong and aggressive fullback along with Hodgo having a hopeful injury free year.

Tapau would have been good, but if we can get a Morgan Boyle (who was recently revealed to be Millie's brother - Blown away by that) or Emre Guler, that'd be impressive recruiting. Either way has to be a player breaking contract this year so we simply can't trade another player for them. we just don't have the depth for it.

I also agree that Keeley will be on bench rotation permanently by mid year over Fitzgibbon or Jones

Hodgson is an interesting one for our recruitment to figure out, could be a risk either way.

If we play the waiting game, his value could skyrocket if he has a breakout season and we may not be able to afford him.

We could extend him now for quite cheap but if his injuries continue it could be a waste of a top 30 spot.

He is only 20 and still growing so maybe it's just a growing thing? Interesting to see how this plays out.

eh, not the sort of person id want in my playing group. Granted probably plenty of others out there who don;t get caught, but the unlicensed charge just shows how stupid he is.

I could see Hodgo having a great season if he has an injury free year, but if he gets a great offer and guaranteed position I'd imagine he'd go. It'd suck but we're going to be plush with FB options shortly and need to do right by developing Sharpe and Armstrong.

dont think we need a second row at all; Frizell, Fitzgibbon, Johns, Jones who are all mainly back rowers. Add Elliott, Croker, Hetherington who can also play on the edge and we have Toni Tupouniua and Keeley on the books also. plenty of back row depth, quality? maybe not but cannot afford to be chasing another one, will unbalance our squad. Plus there was talk Tupouniua was looking at a top 30 spot on a minimum contract who can fill back row and prop which is ideal

I reckon fitzgibbon is gonna have a cracker year on that left edge. As long as his shoulders hold up i see him scoring plenty of pies running off ponga on those good lines as defences will be shifting hard early with best and marzhew together

Do you think we will resign Frizell? If not KPP could replace him at right second row?
