2023 Recruitment & Retention Thread

Someone else commented in that same post that there are rumours that Killer is going as well.. I often find FB posts illiterate but make of that what you will. Not sure if he's suggesting it's a swap with the Sharks or what.

Yes facebook is not a reliable source of in but I posted it because it sounded plausible.
 
And it's probably more than plausible re Miller - wouldn't be the first time a pissed out Joey has let slip something he shouldn't have. Eddie Hayson anyone?

That‘s fine mate. As has been pointed out on here Mann did look good playing at lock in the first few games this year but then his body let him down. He has had that issue before. I don’t think his body can tolerate playing first grade consistently. Hopefully next year will be his last with us.
 
If we don’t pick up an experience middle forward I can see the club expecting alot from Thompson.
I’m honestly stoked how this has turned out though I would’ve loved to keep klem but we will be a better rounded team for this move.

I think its time for everyone to stop complaining about the coach... it ain't gonna get us anywhere he's here to stay at the current moment so lets please move on from the annoying idea of "we need a new coach".

As for Lachie Miller...... OH MY GOD 🔥🔥🔥 the kid can play, my favourite asset of his is that he goes on the attack from the moment he gets the ball. kick returns are more dangerous because he isn't scared to attack straight away and all (rugby experience). The way he links up with his outside backs from the kick returns is dangerous and his ball skills are very handy, can just imagine him linking up with the likes of Dom on the wing from a general kick return. Cannot wait!!

I like the look of Lachlan Miller and what he offers.
But surely the 3rd string fullback of the Sharks doesnt become our first choice.
We should still be aiming for a gun fullback.
But if we can't get one for 2023 we should still be signing one for 2024 and pushing for a release.
