2023 Recruitment & Retention Thread

I'm feeling a little encouraged about 2023 with Hastings coming, and with Klemmer leaving. Mostly because things will be different and change will be forced onto the players. Hopefully things can improve
Is any firm confirmation that Hastings Is coming?

I really don't want to jump the gun and find out we don't get him, I'd be pretty ****ty about It.

Renouf Atoni would be a good pick up, has nearly 50 NRL games so a solid option with a bit of experience.

Saulo is not listed for Canberra and they have 30 names in their top squad list.
His player profile is on the Raiders site, surely that means he is in their top 30.

Contracted with the Roosters next year I believe.

3 spots left in the top 30... looking a lot like they'll be taken up by:
1) Lachie Miller (pending release (of course))
2) Oryn Keeley (I think this will be our last top 30 once we get confirmation that KPP definitely won't get released for 2023).
3) a semi-experienced front rower... whom? that is the great question (maybe Bullemor? Morgan Boyle? Blake Laurie? Anyones guess honestly)

Yeah Niu sucks. Has never played as well as Miller did in his chances this year.

I daresay the Knights see him as someone who can do a job while younger prospects learn their trade in reserves. Astute signing on that basis.

He’s 27 and I believe he played local league when he was younger but nothing came of it, then went over to rugby. Would be interested to hear his story sometime, I like hearing those late bloomers talk about their path to first grade.

Miller looks more like KP but not as 'flashy' but almost as good...

Others have been calling for Williams to be chased for 7...

I think it's our most realistic chance and he could be a GF winning half.

Hastings should be our 13 with Mr. Experience to come off the bench or play 2nd row.

KP needs to move to 6.

With Hastings and Wiliams Ponga can do less kicking.
