I get it has been said here the Knights are waiting for him to take up his option, and if he doesn't then the Knights fill front up an offer. Dane could well be playing his managers game not resigning or talking to the club until after hi option expires, drumming up interest to get the best deal possible from the Knights.

I just hope we don't lose in this game of chicken.

Exactly. His manager isnt going to tell him to take up his option after the club has said they will do a new deal.
 
Gagai isn't worth 800k.
That's manager talk, trying to get him a pay rise.
There are a lot better centres than him on 500k.
If he can get better than 600k, let him go and spend the money on a prop.
 
Because there are so many props worth big money left on the market, of course.

The money isn't as important as the perception. Brown talked a big game about signing marquee players and is going to end up with a duck egg. If his only rep player leaves no one is going to come within 50kms of Newcastle.

We aint scratching around for money..... think its in the clubs best interest to do everything possible to keep him
 
I have it on good authority he is going to Canberra he went there for a school excursion as a kid and had a good time so since then has always wanted to play for The Raiders.
 
And how has going to Souths worked out for Rochow? Come on Gags, take up the option and stick around for the good times that are coming.
 
I think our chances of keeping him diminish by the day, It would be nice to know either way sometime in the next week or so
 
My BBQ sauce is pretty sure Will Chambers is going to the sharks and Melbourne are getting Gagai...
Tho Souths would be a big incentive for Gags with GI there and plenty of koori heritage.

We are stuffed.

Seems Browny is also on the nose a bit around the club.... infact he mite not be coach come 2018 :shrug:

Its ok mate... i get ur pissed off as most of us are.

Ohh and now hearing the club aint to happy with Brown atm as nothing is working to plan as they hoped it would.... thats only been since yesterday/today.

My source says that we are looking at buying a new forward, half or back no later than next year.

And I've also heard that several clubs are interested in Gagai.

And finally....

Hagan to replace Brown

What's been right? We could still pull off a big name prop from a Sydney club mid-season, but we haven't and it seems unlikely. We could still get Albert Vete mid-season, but we haven't and it seems unlikely. The Gagai to Melbourne rumour that you jumped on to could still happen but he's been linked to about 5 other clubs.

None of your "inside scoops" have been right yet. I'm sure with the amount of **** you throw at the wall something will stick eventually, but stop trying to pass it off like you have any kind of reliable inside knowledge.
