Yeah but Soward will probably move to Super League. I don't see Stanley as a halfback, gun five-eighth though.

I'd be very surprised if Henry makes FG again. He could prove me wrong, but I get that feeling he can't make the step up.

Soward > SL was just a rumour. Who knows

Stanley played halfback in the 20s when Henry had done his shoulder. I remember watching him on fox and he looked good there, too.
 
Even if we don't have a lot of cap room to work with, the Knights would have to be crazy to not give him an offer.

A backrower of his quality is exactly what we need.

He is a bit injury prone, but apart from that his exactly what we need. Versatile, tough, no nonsense type footballer. We would be mad not to throw an offer his way IMO.
 
The Knights would be stupid to make a play for Lewis when we are still a prop or 2 away from a complete team.

Only if we get rid of 2 out of Costigan, Cuthbertson or Edwards would it be worth it.

When those two are starting in the backrow, it shows that we're in need of a quality backrower as well.

Scott is coming next year, but our backrow would still have to be one of the worst in the comp. It's a position that most teams are strong in and we aren't

I think both positions need to be filled.

Edwards is coming into form, Costo and Cuthbo really get to me!
They should both be shown the door, but we all know it wont happen!
Costo should be moving to Front Row, off the bench....

Perhaps they do, but the Knights cat afford to fill both, especially when your talking about a 350-400k+ backrower. The knights are regularly getting beat up the middle by the other teams big man, especially when Snowden and Mason come off. Thats a problem you cant fix without recruiting more big man. Our current backrowers at least can come into form. Not to mention i find it unlikely any of those 3 players will be released, and if we can secure 2 big props for the price of one Lewis, i would take the props anyday.
 
I agree but there's NO big, quality props on the market now. It's not everyday one of the best Origin and International backrowers gets a release and offers himself to other clubs so we'd be dumb not to make an offer while the opportunity is right there and then focus on props when they come off contract next year.
 
Got a source Slacky? Or are you the new Carbon Clay who reads a story online that mentions "sharks are the front runners to sign him" and then comes on here and states an insider told you that it's a done deal at the Sharks.

Have been told myself its a done deal with sharks and Jeremy Smith to Dragons
