still can't believe the Tiges would let Fifita go...seriously talented young tyro who should play rep football at the highest level...
I hope that with all the Titans forwards signings (Douglas, Myles) and with Bailey, Henderson and James all there that big Matty White gets jack of being overlooked for a starting spot and returns to Newcastle to partner that other monster Snowy in our starting pack, now THAT would be something to behold...we could be anything with those two leading our charge...

As in this Origin? or the series. Because the series will be finished before the June 30 deadline (assuming thats still the date for mid-season signings.

Could make sense to why he was named in 18 jersey?

Or maybe it's just because they don't want the opp. team to expect he's playing when he will infact backup. For example Petero has been named 18th man for the Panthers. That isn't because he's being released, it's just coz of the Origin call up. May be the exact same case with Bird.

Nah doubt it, plus we don't really need him. Would be nice for a swan song season as well alongside Danny.

Don't think Bird would come here mid season. John Cartwright believes their season is still good and I don't know if they'd send him off early if they believe they can string wins together. Secretly, they might write this season off as well, but getting rid of Bird would kind of be a public statement of admitting defeat and Titans fans would go mental. If he is going, don't think he'd go till next year.

I'm surprised White's name wasn't mentioned when Tinlker come out saying he wanted to bring juniors back to the club!
 
Probably cause everyone thinks he is close to retirement....despite the fact he is only 27 lol.

Was fined 25k by the Tits for drink driving. That wouldnt be looked apon too kindly by Bennett, but if it was 'out of character', Bennett is a guy who gives second chances.

He'd probably want too much $$$ though for what he brings to the table. Outside your top 4 or 5 props, Bennett is going to have minimum wage guys that he picks up from around NSWCup / The Real NRL. Guys like Greenfield, Gower, Thorby etc. that he has used at the Dragons. Also young prospects that he will ease into FG if there are any around.
 
His dui was only recently, and is out of character, gains over 100 metres more often than not, wouldn't be asking too much in my opinion.
 
Andrew Fifita and Bryce Gibbs have both secured deals with the Cronulla Sharks for three seasons, starting in 2012. Confirmed
 
So that's who the Sharks can dish up to replace Snowden and Douglas.

With Fifita they've bought a promising prospect. With Gibbs it's just a downgrade.
 
So over on the Titans forum, the fans seem to think an Australian/Origin player is about to sign with them lol they're kidding themselves if they think its possible without letting go of anymore more players. If what they say is true, Bird is going to have to get released, there's no other way around it you'd have to think
