Time to start looking at the Newcastle Knights 2027 squad. According to Barry Toohey and Zero Tackle we have 2 spots to fill. I thought we had moved Schiller and Sullivan on. I also thought MaCarthy was confirmed as staying. Can anyone else see any changes? Please, don't make this a debate on...

Apologies if there is already a thread for this. Interested in who is going to Vegas and where people are staying? Im booked into the Golden Nugget... don't want to be stuck there with a heap of Bulldog fans 😆 😂

A lack of resilience and footy IQ has been a common theme throughout all the grades this year. Came into the season with a lack of depth and experience, and have paid the price. We have far too many young guys playing a grade or two above their current abilities, whilst at the same time...

Just want to give a shout out to the boys at The Knight Time pod cast. For those that didn't see it this year, the boys love the Knights and put on a good show. They're saying there's some big (and exciting) happenings coming in 2021 as well. Worth a look.

Newcastle Knights sign former Wests Tigers and Bulldogs enforcer Sauaso Sue 2 year deal

Thought we needed a dedicated thread for 2021 signing rumors, possible targets etc (to combine all the, "What about player... (x)?" threads).

Been in the press this week that we are chasing two half backs for 2019. Thought it might make for some interesting discussion... Who should we chase? Personally, I would love to see us have a crack at snaring Jahrome Hughes, Riley Jacks or Brodie Croft from the Storm.

We've picked up JJ Felise for the rest of 2018... will add some depth in the front row. https://www.theherald.com.au/story/5491710/knights-snare-wests-tigers-prop-for-the-remainder-of-the-season/?cs=2503

The Mole is reporting Frank-Paul has walked out on his Super League contract to return to the NRL. His young family already lives in Newcastle and the Mole says he will try to join the Knights.

Barry Toohey says we're looking at signing Matt Lodge... will be a controversial one, but he's a very good young prop. Is his ability worth the risk?

Thought we could start looking at what our top 30 squad will look like next year... Highlighted players coming in. Blank spots are those I think need to be filled by recruitment and or players being promoted from NYC or Reserve grade etc. There's definitely still some spots up for grabs...

Apparently the Knights have given Anthony Tupou a 1 year contract... not a bad pick up. Can see him playing a similar roll to what Clint Newton played a couple of years ago.

Now that the draw has been released, what away games are people going to travel for? The highlight for me will be the Cowboys game. One of the few away grounds I've never been to.

Reported this morning that the Knights are making a play for Dylan Napa for 2018... Thread started for comments.

Apparently Jamie Buhrer has signed a two year deal with the Knights. It's expected to be announced within the next week. Source; nrl_signing_news_rumours.

Apparently Tony Williams and Greg Eastwood have been told there services will no longer be required at the Bulldogs after this season. I'd take Eastwood in a second. Williams, eh, not so sure on.

Not the first we've heard of this, but Nathan Brown has hinted at another signing over the next few weeks. Possibly an outside back. Interesting that there's a South Sydney Centre trying to get a release at the moment? http://www.theherald.com.au/story/3697343/knights-eye-player-market/

ROCHOW A WANTED MAN Newcastle have their work cut out for them to re-sign Robbie Rochow with a number of clubs chasing the young backrower. While the Knights have offered Rochow a three-year deal, the 25-year-old has placed negotiations on hold until the season kicks off in March. Penrith are...

Was reading before; the Sharks are in a battle to retain Valentine Homes. With Bird being promised 1st crack at fullback, it might open up a door for another club to swoop. He wants to play fullback. If he does come on the market, Homes is the type of player we should throw our hat in the...
