Read in the Herald Ramien was instrumental in signing Lee. Good signs.

Let's not get excited, a signing but bring back all our players from injury, especially the Saf boys does he help us this year, might do over the next 2-4 weeks but will we be singing the praises of King, Lillyman, Heighinton and Jacob

Young guy looking to prove himself for a new contract, I'd be surprised if he doesn't contribute more than Lillyman, King, Heighington have been offering so far this year.

We will see, I hope he goes well, I don't know him so assume he is a reserve grader possible bench, we have a few of them, realistically is he better than King, Sualo and Amey, they are young and trying to prove themselves, admittedly Lillyman and Heighinton on the way out

5'11", 105kg and just 22. Brown and Mooney must see something in the kid.

Also Foxsports reporting Ramien was instrumental in Edrich Lee coming here to continue and develop their partnership. I would think Mooney recruited Edrich to the Sharkies.

Maybe, but don't forget we need to field a NSW cup team too.

It shouldn't be hard to get noticed,
In attack - catch the ball ( don't drop it ) , run hard and straight ( don't pass we have a 5/8 ) , keep legs pumping ( that's how you go forward and keeps defenders involved ), quick play the ball, with out error ( we keep the ball ) , now repeat.
In Defence - take the line forward don't stop 3 metres from the attacking player and hit anyone in front of you with the ball, keep moving towards a side line and push other players into defensive holes from inside out.

An interesting signing. Always seemed to be carrying an injury (knee) at the Tigers, so hopefully fully fit now to reach his potential.

Brown: What new recruit Felise brings to the Knights

    Newcastle Knights
    Wed 27 Jun 2018, 05:51 PM

    JJ Felise has nine games.

    Just nine.

Having arrived at the nib Newcastle Knights only days before the June 30 transfer deadline, the prop is ready to impress.

It was a bold move by the 22-year-old.

Looking to revive his NRL career, the forward left the Wests Tigers in search of a pathway to first grade.

That's why he's signed a contract for the remainder of the season in hopes of proving himself and convincing the coach he deserves a longer-term deal.

While Nathan Brown acknowledges 'it's a challenge for JJ' to force his way into the NRL side, he admires the confidence he's shown in leaving Sydney and backing himself to succeed.

"I'd be disappointed if he didn't play some NRL," Brown said.

"His form in reserve grade has been really good and he's bring that extra little bit of leg speed which we feel can add to our side.

"Herman brings plenty of that for us. We fell another one of those types of players will be really good for us. We feel JJ can certainly bring that to the team.

"He'll start in reserve grade where he's been playing at he Tigers. His form has been good there. I'd be disappointed if he didn't play some games."

    A terrific signing really.

We get him till the end of the year and can say thanks but no thanks at the end. He would be here on a pie and coke deal and gives us a look at him for a few games before making a decision on him.

It's a gamble but one that can only pay off in our favour. If the kid kicks on and earns himself a contract then we have a good depth signing. From there who knows, if he is the type of player who really charges the line then he could be just what the doctor ordered.

Totally on board with this signing. A young, hungry prop wants to play for us and has backed himself for a contract with a club that has made it known is looking for top-line props.

Compare that to Stockwell for example when he was here, or even the Saifitis’ nonchalant attitude at the start of the year.

I rate him. He runs hard and has a good step. If he rips in for Reggies, I hope he replaces Lillyman off the bench towards the end of the year.
