Men’s State of Origin Game 3 2026 - The Blues Vs The Maroons - 8:05pm Wednesday 8th July - Suncorp Stadium

I seen it touch him as his fingers flex... Didnt have to wait until Thursday it was pretty obvious

Like to see the other camera from the corner post that apparently cleared it
There’s definitely an issue that we don’t get to see the same angles that the bunker does. But I think that’s because they see several different angles at once?

Loz finally officially steps down. Names Matt King as his choice to succeed. Good on him for going out on top.

IDM if Matt King is chosen, but I hope the NSWRL goes through an exhaustive process to make sure they get the coach right next time.

NSW effectively blew an opportunity to establish their own dynasty after QLD went through a period of running a team with 2-3 future immortals in it by mucking about with commentator/coaches.

At least Matt King is a professional coach who spends each week in a coaching box, but I still think they need to carefully weigh all their options. Including approaching the NRL about the rule restricting NRL coaches, given Clearly will be in his last year as Panthers coach and has said his future is in rep coaching.

Matt King had a bit of a chat on MMM about a few things…

Said he will keep assistants Cordner and White, likes both their footy brains and knows both are passionate about the jumper being former players as well as Cordner who was a captain.
But will have a few spots to fill likely when the time comes including his own.
Says he will finish up at the Roosters once their season is done.

Doesn’t want to just be a corporate guy that shows up at functions and sponsorship events, wants to get out into the bush, helping out with coaching, giving advice etc

Says when he retired he kind of didn’t know what to do but was drawn into coaching and has loved it ever since. Knows the pathways system well having been apart of it under previous coaches (including a good relationship with Madge) with some of the guys who have made the team this year/last he helped develop with Buderus/Fittler etc.

Both NSW and QLD will have a new coach next year.
Darius Boyd appointed QLD coach

HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA

I don't get the Darius hate. For two years, he was one of our best players, if not our best and a huge part of us making the prelim. For his third year, IDK that I could find the motivation to tackle blokes like Sika Manu while out of pocket 100s of thousands of dollars.

As for Origin, he's a QLD Origin legend; he's done a good job of coaching the QLD U19S, and he'll have support from Bennett (and likely the usual cast of QLD future immortals and hall of famers).

I think it's a good appointment and as a Newcastle Old Boy I wish him the best (although not enough to win any games, NSW sweep in 27...up the Blues).

I can count on one hand how many games where he played well and had a dig for us let alone the whole going on (holidays) when he was supposed to be rehabbing after quitting on the team.
And he wasn’t the only player to be out of pocket on TPA

I mean, that's just nonsense to justify a stance that isn't reasonable... NRL teams don't go one game short of a GF with a dud fullback... It's not possible.

And he wasn’t the only player to be out of pocket on TPA
And no one suggested he was; but he certainly wasn't the only player playing below his level that season because of the way the joint was being run.
