Loz finally officially steps down. Names Matt King as his choice to succeed. Good on him for going out on top.
IDM if Matt King is chosen, but I hope the NSWRL goes through an exhaustive process to make sure they get the coach right next time.
NSW effectively blew an opportunity to establish their own dynasty after QLD went through a period of running a team with 2-3 future immortals in it by mucking about with commentator/coaches.
At least Matt King is a professional coach who spends each week in a coaching box, but I still think they need to carefully weigh all their options. Including approaching the NRL about the rule restricting NRL coaches, given Clearly will be in his last year as Panthers coach and has said his future is in rep coaching.

Said he will keep assistants Cordner and White, likes both their footy brains and knows both are passionate about the jumper being former players as well as Cordner who was a captain.
But will have a few spots to fill likely when the time comes including his own.
Says he will finish up at the Roosters once their season is done.
Doesn’t want to just be a corporate guy that shows up at functions and sponsorship events, wants to get out into the bush, helping out with coaching, giving advice etc
Says when he retired he kind of didn’t know what to do but was drawn into coaching and has loved it ever since. Knows the pathways system well having been apart of it under previous coaches (including a good relationship with Madge) with some of the guys who have made the team this year/last he helped develop with Buderus/Fittler etc.
