NRL Round 21 - Knights Vs Roosters - 6:00pm Friday, 24th of July - McDonald Jones Stadium

We played brave through the whole game, but another loss, I’m sick of losing!
I can’t believe we didn’t get a sin bin for at least one of those head highs, spotted a few others that the ref didn’t call either.
Just so luckless with injuries, but as others have said great reps for our emerging crop.

Crossland is a such spirited player, and good challenge for the manu shoulder charge, I wouldn’t mind him getting a permanent co captain gig, he’s a good voice to have in the middle.

I will be livid if we lose to those gronks up at Brisbane.

We seriously should’ve won all three of these games. Tonight though was easily the toughest to take considering we were already missing Ponga, Saifiti, Gagai, McEwen, Crouch and Saulo. Lucas then goes down for the majority, and likely a very long time after the fact. Francis and Frizell also for periods during the game and then Brown for half of the second half. Crossland and Cant had to play out of position and Sharpe obviously has been jumping back and forth most of the year.

To only lose by one against a full strength Roosters team under all that adversity shows just how far this team has come in less than 12 months.

We need to start turning all the opportunities into points, cut out basic errors and learn how to goal kick. Losing by a combined 5 points in the last 3 weeks is bloody gonna hurt at the back end of the year and it’s so frustrating considering how hard we’ve been trying. The rugby league gods just hate us for no ****ing reason and I’m so over it. We deserve better man.

I'm worried this could be career ending....didn't a Broncos player suffer a similar injury a while back and had to retire
It can often be career ending. I've got no idea on the matter but from memory it has everything to do with how the complex system of soft tissue recovers.

In Jharal Yoh Yeh's case he was never able to recover anything close to the strength and structural integrity he had before the injury.

The fact that the compound fracture seemed to occur so close to the ankle itself isn't a good sign.

Super proud of the boys tonight. We held strong despite all the adversity and were unlucky to lose.

The injuries to both Lucus and Brown, I’m the most devastated about. Hopefully Brown can make it back for finals.

The silver lining was Manu was exceptional tonight. He will slot on the left now. Hopefully he forms a good combination with KP, Sharpe.

We will still make finals comfortably. I’m confident we beat the Titans, and Manly at home. Hopefully Cows defeat Broncos this round and that will deflate them for next week. I think we can beat Canberra away. If we get 5th or 6th which I’m confident we do we get a home semi.

Week two of the finals will be a massive achievement this year.

Concerns it's an ACL for Brown.
