If our young forwards meet their potential it will be Leo who?

Can 💯 see Gus bounce him if he doesn’t get to elite Leo pretty quickly, especially with the $$ he is on. I wouldn’t want him back, I know he wasn’t happy with the club feeling he was stiffed $$$ but he is also phoned it in for us last year. Wouldn’t want that baggage back.
 
I always saw him out on the field at Mayfield Wests during the off season of 24/25.

Think him and Phoenix were keeping up their training for NZ.

But he was there most weekends doing shuttles and stuff. Obviously motivated.

If he turned up out of shape, further testament to him switching off.
 
Didn’t Thompson finish second in the club’s player of the year award last year? So I dunno, he seemed to leave on good terms to me.

People carry on like a jilted lover about these things.
 
Toohey said in his article late in the season that the Knights thought he phoned last year in and that they'd maybe dodged a bullet. Culminated with him opting not to play the final game despite the club wanting to fly him back over in time after going home for a funeral. I'm sure the players don't care but doesn't seem like he was highly regarded by officials by the end.

I think Jack is a year or 2 younger than Jye. I think he was playing AJ cup when Jye was in Mathews for us - although I think they might have had a few games in the same side at one point.
Anyway, I hope Jye isn't injured again, or if he is, it isn't a 3rd ACL.

Thompson played in the 2nd half last week for the Warriors and played well I thought. Seeing him play in person, he was the smallest player in the Warriors side that played.

He was pretty small in AJ cup last time I saw him - he'd still be very young.
I looked up Linnane - he is still doing rehab for his ACL over a year ago - he is expected back in the early rounds of reserve grade.
 
Would love Barnett to come back for one more season and lead the pack, at 31 he may have a season or two left in the tank. But post ACL recovery could change things.

Defeats the purpose of being closer to family though doesn't it? Born and Bred Taree boy and lived in newy for 7 seasons after returning from Canberra being a newy junior... I think newy or Sydney is the landing spot
