Yeah. IF Croker puts in another few strong performances then I hope he gets another shot. His last run started well, but he seemed to fall off before getting dropped.
I remeber getting excited to see him, but was "meh" by the time he got dropped.

I think the way they play Crokes doesn’t suit him. He’s a minutes player with a good engine being asked to play impact. He doesn’t have the size to do that.

I don't think they're viewed as competing for the same role. Hetherington is an out and out prop who at his best can be really effective off the bench even in smaller minutes. Through the grades Croker has always been at his best playing longer minutes but he's out of his depth at prop in first grade. Even this vaunted form from reserve grade last week - his stats were more impressive on paper but I thought Hetherington made more impact on the game in his shorter minutes, at least in the first half when the Knights were rolling through the middle (I missed a decent chunk of the second half).
I think Elliott and Jones are the ones to compare Croker with, not the actual props.

I remember calling him Sharpe by name and by nature in the trials. Played with buckets of energy and god knows we were missing all of that last week.

Nice to have something to look forward to after the disappointment of last week.
Will definitely be keeping in mind that Sharpe has only played 6 games of Cup in his career to date, certainly a baptism of fire to debut against Melbourne in Melbourne against that context. Even Davey had nearly 30 games of Cup across three seasons to prepare him for a debut.
Should give the squad plenty of motivation to turn up and do their jobs today.

I was hoping Armstrong would be f/b till Ponga returned giving Sharpe more time playing against the big boys in Cup but injuries occur, hope he does real well on his debut

Can’t get my head around the draw, liked it better when 3 grades played on same day all against the same side.
This week we play Storm away in 1sts but Manly in Cup and Flegg at home and Panthers play Manly in 1sts but Storm in Cup and Flegg.
