NRL Round 14 - Storm V Knights - 2:00pm Sunday 9th June - AAMI Park, Melbourne

I’m quitely confident of a better showing this game. Sure the dogs got the better of us by the end of the game. But I think we were a bit unlucky in the first half.

If it’s another poor performance from our halves I like to see Pryce get a go. Hopefully he has a good game in cup again this week.

No denying the attack was very very average, but to put things into abit of perspective. Dogs had the ball roll their way on a few tries, the lucky first Fox try, the Curran try had plenrt of fortune and the second Preston try had a phantom grounding.

Well I don't think we can beat Melbourne in Melbourne unless we catch them with their pants down by throwing in Pryce to do his chip kicks for himself on tackle 1 and running on tackle 5 in his own 20 and whatever other crazy stuff pops into his head.
We have nothing to lose.

What's the old saying, you make your own luck or something like that? Regardless take away their lucky trys and they still win comfortably....all we could manage was the shot at goal.

This is going to be a blood bath. I really hope aob knows what he is doing. If they get flogged again and he made no changes to the side. I can't see that going very well for him. The blokes on 360 will have a field day.
But who cares what they say on 360?
There are lots of empty vessels on that show who thrive on speculation and sensation.
They talk a lot of ****e and I can’t even look at them anymore.

Last week was ****. No doubt, but having 2 of our best attacking weapons in KP and Best out and one of our better link man in Gamble out. No surprises our attack is down. Also it's mid yr. We were no where near good attack until late last season.

Team just needs to focus on good line speed for 80mins and 1%'s and try stay in the games with Melbourne and Penrith next 2 weeks.
I agree with these sentiments.
If it happens, the NRL will need to have our squad drug tested because this sounds like a mountain too high for us atm.

Sadly the selectors continue to ignore Pryce in favour of a seriously pedestrian Cogger. What does he need to do to get a run? Can he possibly be any worse? The job of the halves is the link between forwards and backs and last Friday there was no link at all. One up, one up, kick! All contributing to a boring match and a lack lustre performance. Three cheers for Tyson Frizelle being the only player to thank the fans after the match.
The others were too embarrassed to front the fans, but I bet their hands didn’t shake at pay time!

Article in the Herald this morning where KPP talks up Will Pryce.
Calls him a special talent and says he "came here for a reason" is "ready to go" and will "smash it when he gets a chance".
Says his off the cuff style is a point of difference and says he has played 45 ESL games.
Also says Pryce is not sulking, is the happiest guy at the club, is full of energy, and is doing all the extras at training.

Can’t read the article. But interesting a team mate talking him up when the coach more or less dissed him the Presser. KPP really is undermining the coach.

He doesn't say Pryce should be picked this week - although he probably thinks it.
He says Pryce is doing everything he can to get a shot, and he thinks Pryce will take the chance when he gets it.

Looks like Fletcher Sharpe might be debuting

I fairness to KPP, they both came through the same path at the same time to get here and are young blokes in a foreign environment with vey little of the normal family supports they would have back in the UK except for each other - I think KPP is doing exactly what everybody, including the coach would expect him to do and that is to support his mate and back him to get through this and show what he is capable of

Fletcher debuting this week is a bit unfair. Poor bloke has got Melbourne in Melbourne as his first game. People will be calling for his head if he has a stinker.

So if this is true and Armstrong is dropped after one bad game where the entire team had a stinker is really unfair. Rather than drop the real problem Hastings who couldn't create anything let's drop the young bloke

I think it might be a good thing for him to give him a freshen up give sharpe one or two games then have Davey finish strong till ponga comes back

i think if replaced by Sharpe this week, it means he's been dropped not rested. Sharpe was apparently first choice before his injury. Don't really think Armstrong needs a rest 4 games in to his career.

No he doesn't need a rest he needs a reset. Bennett was famous for doing this to younger fellas and it works to some extent.
