Ex-Knights Watch

I see ex-knight Albert Kelly (reserve grade for a handful of games before he was sacked) came back from the ESL to join Brisbane and was dropped from the training group because he got so fat in 14 days lockdown.
As I remember, Albert showed up to us really fat as well, and it only took him about 3 weeks to run it off.

Hopefully after being unwanted by 2 clubs he will realise he should be less selfish with the ball.

I was just thinking the opposite - that the "Damien Cook" style he was so good at in under 20s and has always wanted to play, might work well for him in the ESL. Salford have starting props Pauli Pauli and Luke Yates as well as Kenny Sio at wing, so he'll know a few guys.

Did Salford make the cut for ESL 2021 Billy?

Yes they did with two Manchester teams making it, Salford and Leigh Centurions, Rex Mossop's old club.

Ex Salford coach Ian Watson has poached Luke Yates from Salford to join him at Huddersfield. He has also signed Jack Cogger.
Both Yates and Cogger were great, self motivated, trainers when with us.
Yates had recently signed a 2 year deal with Salford and they had to pay a transfer fee for him, so they really wanted him.
He has built up a reputation as the best trainer and best defender in the ESL.

I love that Yates is killing it over there. Deserves all the success he gets.
If brown had given him a decent shot, he would have made the grade here.
He never got the chance to play long minutes for us, and he only shines when he plays 60-80 minutes and does a mountain of work, which is what he is doing over there, and did all through the grades here.
But on the other hand, Brown telling him he could only have a train and trial deal at age 20 and Yates starting his off season training as soon as the last game finished so he showed up at pre season as our most fit player might have made his career.

Starling has had most of his charges dropped.
Only 1 left is hindering police, to which he has pleaded not guilty.

What happened with Brendan Elliot? Would’ve been so much better at fullback for Manly than Dylan Walker.
