Watson plays well at 9 but I can't see him going the full 80 and without Levi/Buhrer to tag with.

Esse was dropped at the start of the year because of his lateral defence. He won’t handle defending on an edge
He should be a 13 imo
Move glasby to 2rf when esse comes on after like 20-25 mins is what I would do

Issue is some of the lower placed sides are starting to find a little form, at least enough to cause upsets or push sides for most of a match, it will be an early mad Monday if the knights dont get their act together next week, not to mention, really, what's the point of making the finals if you're merely there to make up the numbers?

Ask Titans fans would they be happy for a chance to be in the Finals I imagine the response would be overwhelmingly one sided. As a supporter of a team who hasn't made the Finals since 2013 hell yes I want us to be playing Finals Footy.

I genuinely think if the Broncos get their stuff together and Boyd has a dig 80% of the time the Broncos might do enough to grab a spot. The Tigers worry me a bit as they were a lot better in the 2H against the Raiders and we can't rest on our laurels like we did against the Bulldogs. I also think Macguire can do what he did with the Souths and make them a better team. On paper those sides are talented enough and the Broncos good kids are coming into their own so far.

Sharks look shot, and it seems like there are disagreements with the tactics/coaching and the honeymoon phase may be over for John Morris. Not sure how the loss will affect the Cowboys, thought they would get it done myself even without Morgan but on paper more then good enough.

I think for the rest of the teams not mentioned outside of the 8, their season will be done.

Before anyone mentions the Warriors who have had luck go their way with a soft draw after Origin they have the Sea Eagles, Raiders twice, the Sharks away, Souths, and Roosters away as well. They are known for their end of season fades so wouldn't surprise me to see them being lucky to win one game even.

I thought he was dropped because his Dad died and his head wasn't in the right place for footy as you can understand it wouldn't be .
I would leave Glasby at lock because that's his best position I think and give Ese,ese a go at 2nd row , if it doesn't work then move him back.
I would like to see him running at 1/2s and backs more .

I hate to make 7th or 8th this year its just numbers mater, top 6 and other clubs take you serious footy team. Making 7th or 8th just gives the coach a free pass for extension, just ask dragon supporters how they are feeling.

They'd give anything to win several games in a row and scrape into the finals I imagine lol.
With the crappy new system in place because the NRL bowed to the dumb media pressure 5-8 have a decent shot rather then playing 2nd or 1st and bowing out.

I disagree. The Cowboys in 2017 finished 8th and made it to the grand final. The only teams who can't make it there are those outside of the 8, and given that it was only 2017 when we received the spoon, I'll be happy if we make the 8 at all this year.

I don't think we need massive changes. In my opinion our form line is a bit deceiving. We lost to the Warriors very under strength & almost came away with the win & I thought we competed very well with the Roosters for the whole first half. They were giving it to us, but when we got the ball we came right back at them. Just too skilful for us in the second half & got away from us real quick. Fair enough Melbourne completely dominated us & the Dogs loss was bad, we were too good for them but got too cocky in the second half. Just get a prop in the side for Buhrer & we're a good side that hopefully doesn't lose confidence from the last month & comes home strong.

Same 21 as last week.
I thought a few in reserve grade like Hoy and Jones deserved to be in the 21 after reserve grade knocked over the ladder leaders with their best effort for the year.

Agreed, I thought there would be a few changes after last week.

Basically allowing for injuries that 21 is our best so no surprises. It’s like “let’s name the same and tweek it all later, Thurs/Fri so no one gets nose out of joint.
If some of 18-21 are going to be in side I don’t know why they are not selected as such, surely they are training that way.

Mann just needs Steve Simpson defending beside him and he will be fine (to break the ribs of anyone who thinks running at Mann is a good idea)
