I would say he's a better defender and can play 80 mins which is what Brown seems to want. Levi certainly the better attacking player but I guess when most of our attack comes off Pearce/Ponga then you just need good service from dummy half
 
I think going from Levi to Brailey is more of a lateral step than an upgrade. Brailey seems to have a good long pass either side of the ruck. Levi's running game is lethal. Both defend well. Brailey also plays the 80 compared to Levi's 50-60, but we have Watson to tag with him currently.

With Brailey at 9 and Lino at 6, it'd leave Mann and Watson as two very good, versatile players to battle it out for the 14. Nice headache to have.
 
Passing from dummy half and defence are the core skills of hookers.
Running games and kicking games are nice to have, but someone else can do that if the hooker can get clean ball to the right people.

He was very good last night. If he consistently plays well for the rest of the year, then I'm not really sure what great benefit it will be to bring in Brailey over him. As I said, seems like a lateral step. Seems like a done deal though.

I agree.
Must be something there for Brown to want him.
And Brown obviously sees something in Levi he doesn't like.
It's funny that Brailey isn't playing 80 though.

Telegraph today says "out of Town team high profile player that's asked for release isn't even on speaking terms with the coach." Levi ?
 
Hasn’t the talk been around for months that Levi is going and now we have signed Sharks hooker for 3 years so how can that be news, could be Dragons/Wollongong or Raiders, could be anyone, could be Klem, Pearce, Ponga or any 10 Saints or Raiders.
 
Peachey has been trying to get out of his Titans contract since he pretty much signed it so not sure why the Telecrap thinks that's news.

We currently have the NSW under 20s, 18s and 16s hookers.
I imagine that Luke Huth and Mitch Black are both thinking about other clubs if we have Brailey for 3 years.

How many hookers has Brown used in the last 3 years?
They will all get a run.
 
I can remember Randall, Bhana, Levi, Pearsal, Adams, Phythian, Feeney, Buhrer, Watson, Griffin, Starling and Mann all playing hooker in first grade at times.

I also have a feeling Yates might have spent some time there, and maybe someone like Wardle or Mickey Paea? Also Mullen was doing the offseason at hooker before he got banned. And kostjaysen was going to as well before injury.

Guess we can add Brailey to the list too.

He was in that group trying to get as far away from Griffin as possible.
