Both Cogger and Lamb are going great now they are working with coaches who can develop young players.
Meaney and Tom Starling have also come on in leaps and bounds this year.

I think all four of those players would go alright behind the forward pack we have now. Cant keep all the juniors and its good to see them going well at other clubs.
 
Tyrone Amey got 69 fantasy points for Easts - 20 runs for 171 metres - 47 tackles, 2 missed in 71 minutes at lock

Brock Lamb got 64 fantasy points for Norths - 3 try assists, 2 line break assists, 1 try, 5 goals from 6 attempts.

Tom Starling got 62 fantasy points - 2 tries, 1 try assist, 1 linebreak assist, 34 tackles, 0 missed

I do feel a bit sorry for him to be honest. He had to play for the Knights in a fairly under gunned team, leaves to a club in a better position than us talent wise, and gets his first shot in a game where there is no Cronk, his halves partner gets taken out within 20 minutes leaving him the main playmaker not counting Mitchell who should never play 5/8 again.

Tough to step in to a game like that and dominate.

Unfortunately, it was the spooncession we had to have. The only way to turn the club around was to free up cap space and that meant getting rid of our higher paid players, buying cheap and cheerful, and build.

I don't lump Lamb in with that group. If, he were coming through the grades in a stronger Knights outfit, and got his proper introduction to NRL level, eased in with care rather than plonked in to get smashed every week. He would be a different player.

It was the Knights that weren't good enough in his case, not the other way around.

He's still young with plenty of time to develop. He has the benefit of being around the current premiers, including Cronk and Keary. If he is as good as some believe, he's in the best place to ply his trade, otherwise if he doesn't then he might just not be first grade quality, regardless of the team he's in.
 
Hodgson is out for up to 6 weeks with a broken thumb for the raiders, and their bench hooker is basically a spare forward, so you would think Starling, who is playing 80 minutes most weeks in reserve grade and killing it, should be close to a contract upgrade and some firstgrade time.
