Your NSW Blues Side For 2012

I seem to remember the last player who Stuart changed the position of in Origin was Gallen to prop, and from memory that worked quite well. :P Hayne is worth a shot.

Don't rub it in!

Besides, Gallen's game barely changes at all with that move. Hayne is playing in one of the most pivotal positions, and a position he hasn't done very well at in the past.

1 Dugan
2 Uate
3 Jennings
4 Lawrence
5 Hayne
6 Carney
7 Pearce
8 Gallen
9 Buderus
10 Tamou
11 Lewis
12 Scott
13 Bird

14 Gidley
15 Watmough
16 Merrin
17 Snowden

Nsw looking good, this teams strong but without Stewart brothers, Morris brothers and the halves battle...

How is Pearce even getting considered for NSW? In my opinion, he plays terrible in Origin!

I've been saying it for years and he has been rubbish at club level since 2010.

But we we're supposedly meant to be staying loyal to the majority of the team who played last year, then I see Hayne might be getting picked in the halves. If the selectors are changing the team again, get rid of Pearce for sure!! I hope they just keep the same team as last year though and stay loyal, I'm content with Soward/Finch. Whoops I meant Pearce.

Because he is the best HB in the world

Yeah and Greg Smith is the best signing in Rugby League history.

Realistically, who else is available? Carney & Mullen have both proven they are 5/8ths, not halfbacks. Maybe Peter Wallace if he's uninjured by then. Who else really is there? Luke Walsh?

In an interview, Carney said that Mullo & him will swap between positions every now & then through the City v Country game, that's the way it may be for NSW.

NSW are a disgrace, they ramble on about keeping the same side together and now they want to drop one of the best kickers we have and replace him with hop along playing out of position. FFS Hayne can't even play 5/8th at club level adequately!
When we win a series, we can keep the same side. I don't get why Stuart rambled on about keeping the same side when there are players there that haven't justified why they should be chosen again. Paul Gallen and Jarryd Hayne should be the only certainties from what they have done for NSW.

I'd rather Carney play Halfback, but that's just my opinion anyway.

I'd like to see Mullen 6 Carney 7. As Josh said, they said they'd switch around in CvC, so you never know.

Wait, so 1 week ago J. Tamou wasn't even considered in NSW and now will he be a certainty? :S
I honestly haven't seen him play all that much, but I might just be out of the loop. He hasn't really caused headlines or anything.

I'll make my opinion after the test but at the moment I wouldn't have him in the NSW side.

The rules for any international team should be -

You are only eligible for a country that you have:

* been born in
* lived in for 10 years of your life
* parental descent (not grandparent)

When you sign up with an NRL club, starting from Harold Matthews, you state which country you will play for & which option above ^ you qualify for. If you have already picked one & decide to change it, you have to stand down for 3 years from rep duty.

For Origin, obviously you need to be currently qualified for Australia & if you were born in another state, you can play SOO if your started you 16+ year old career in either NSW or QLD.

Make it a five year stand down and you've got as good system.

But then another Uate will come along, the rules will get broken and we'll be back where we started.

I actually really agree with these rules only thing is, when you get someone like me that was born and raised in Austtralia, but would rather play for Fiji? So like another Nathan Fien?
