Uate wins Dally M winger of the year

What else would he call him? Hardly gonna call him Uate, that is probably his surname as well!

Going along the lines of what James said, if he was your uncle, you wouldn't call him by his surname either, because it is probably your surname aswell!
 
My heart was in my mouth watching the Roosters game, SKD nearly equaled Aku but thankfully he didnt get the needed hat-trick. Brett Morris is his only threat now, if Thriller can cross over just once tomorrow I'll be able to watch the Dragons game at ease.
 
I dont know if this has been answered, but for a scenario lets say Brett Morris & Uate both dont score in there games this weekend, and then Morris scores a hat-rick next week in the Dragons finals match to be beating Uate. Would that still be counted as Uate most tries this season or not?

Nope, top try-scorer is taken after the regular 26 rounds, not finals as well.

I can't believe people are getting so excited about it! haha. But I spose it is a rare thing for the club, only happened once before to one of our players.

no, only normal season matches count

I think officially in the archives, they include finals games. Thats why Andrew Johns is listed as the joint leading point scorer in 2001, along with Ben Walker on 279, although Walker scored more points throughout the regular season and didnt feature in the finals (still played 5 more games then Johns did in that season).

Blacklock is also officially the leading tryscorer that season with 27, 2 of which he got in the final series.
 
How can it include the finals series when the top try scorer gets given his award at the Dally M's when the finals are still being played. Only the 26 weeks count. Tries in finals may go towards club records but not when players are competing for top try scorer.

Because the Dally Ms are not run by the nrl. They are run by News Limited. They are the official season awards, for the 26 rounds. He might go down as leading tryscorer for the regular season, and get a trophy. But in terms of the 2010 season, if Vatuvai, Morris or SKD score more, they will be noted in history as the 2010 NRL season leading tryscorer.

However, after finishing the season on 18 tries, Matt Bowen Scored 3 tries in the finals series, overtaking them both, finisihing on 21 tries for the season, and as a result is recognised at the 2005 NRL seasons leading tryscorer.

Abit of jealousy??? , if I had an uncle who played for the knights, I would be referring to him as Uncle.
