doesnt matter if someone is chased down. Why? three main reasons:
1. Running with ball in hand is a lot harder then without. They say the key to sprinting is all in the arms. How fast u can move ur arms controls how fast u move ur legs.
2. The ball carrier has to be aware of other things, other defenders, if he has any support, trying to position that support. The guy chasng can be focused entirely on the ball carrier.
3. The ball carrier might have dont more work in the game, or might not have the same fitness as the chaser. Also carrying the ball, making more drag will tire them quicker.
So judging on who chased down who doesnt give a correct indication, because i bet this year there has been this scenerio (just an example):
Josh Morris chased down Jennings, Gordon chased down Morris, Jennings chased down Gordon. Or something similar to that.
