Why are people dropping or putting Wes on the bench?
He was our best today and has been our most consistent player over the first 4 games

I agree, Wes is looking the goods from the first four games, his run back from the kicks always ate metres up. Sorry no Mcdonnell IMO.

1. Wes (Lives to fight another week, McDonnell might not be seeing FG for a while)
2. McManus
3. Sau
4. Macdougall
5. Uate
6. Gidley
7. Mullen
8. Kaufusi
9. De Gois
10. Tui
11. Houston
12. Patto
13. Taia (or swap positions with Houston, I like the idea of Houston at Lock)

14. Hilder
15. Taufua
16. Fa'aoso
17. Edwards (Impressive today)

Seriously, how can people have McDonnell over Wes. Compared to Wes' form this season, McDonnell is sh*t.

How can you not have Patto or Tolar in ur side?

Patto is starting ;)
But with Taufua back (likely?) it was between Tolar and Edwards for the last bench spot. I dunno...whoever Stone thinks will better suit the team for the Broncos, I was thinking Edwards' mobility might help a bit more thats all but its probably more Edwards/Tolar for the no 17 spot.

It's definitely tough to drop Edwards. He was very good today and should of played more minutes IMO. His defence looks very strong.

I also think Taufua has to be in there somewhere next week. We're lacking aggression in the forwards.

Fa'aoso should start next week. He's by far our best prop. Tui and Kaufusi were getting absolutely dominated in the first half.

1. Wes

Naiqama is back to 2005 form! Honestly, I didn't think Gidley was great today, but I'd keep him in the halves just to keep Naiqama at fullback. McDonnell won't be seeing firstgrade again for a while.

Paterson needs to step up a bit ... he looks like a horn in the strongs section at the moment. I'd love to see him either charging onto the ball out wide, or use his ball playing skills to pop some passes, or play in the centre of the field a bit more.

I agree, he is dropping in and out of games too frequently. The try he scored is the way he should run all game straight and hard not this stepping inside or running sideways stuff. The last 20 minutes showed what Pato is capable of but even then he ran sideways too much. Pato is a frustrating player as he has so much potential. If I was Stone I would give he one line to run all game as there was a few times Mullo came across field to throw the inside ball to pato who needed to run straight but slowed down and put the step on. Pato needs to just run lines like Simo did.

Naiqama was very impressive today..apart from that ball he spilled that led to Boyds' try. Still think Gidley is not as effective at 5/8, didnt think he had that great of a game but towards the back end of the second half when he had control of the ball he looked dangerous.

Yeh fair enough, Edwards was the better player between Tolar/Edwards but as to who I would put in the no. 17, i have no clue
