Your team for 2019

Eseese was our best forward last year, is the right age and experience level to be improving still, and by all reports has had a very strong pre season.
I still expect him to be our second best for 2019, only behind Klemmer.
Having said that, coming off the bench is not that big a deal for middle forwards, as long as he gets his 50 or 60 minutes on the field. Sitting him down for long minutes would be problem.

If Sione is pencilled in to start, I'd prefer for Fitz to come off the bench than Guerra. Guerra can pump out 80 minutes and always be working hard, but Fitz has his quiet times still when asked to do 80, and a fresh Fitz coming on against tired forwards would add a lot of impact.

If we're talking pure bench impact and creativity, I'd be picking Barnett over Guerra. Guerra from the bench has a bit too much yawn factor for me if he isn't starting and Glasby replaces him in the old school toiler role perfectly.

According to Toohey's news Sione has earn't himself a starting back row spot. This is how Toohey see's the forward pack for round 1.
8.Klemmer
9.Levi
10.Gavet
11.Fitz
12.Sione
13.Glasby

14.Mann
Guerra, Ese, Dan, Barnett all competing for the 3 bench spots.

8.Klemmer
9.Levi
10.Gavet
11.Fitz
12.Guerra.
13.Glasby

14. Mann.
15. Ese.
16. Sione.
17. Dan/Barnett.

I'd say Dan too have two props running.

Yeah but we all know golden boy isn't going anywhere, lets hope he doesn't knock himself senseless too much this year and we don't have to put a 80kg half in his position to defend because he can't stay in a straight line.

Toohey also predicts that Brodie Jones will make his debut at some stage in 2019.
I predict he'll be hard to keep out of the side if he gets a good chance to show what he can do in the trials.
There is a lot of Steve Simpson about him.

I thought Beau Fermor was next cab off the rank?
Jones and Fermor are the same age.
Last year Fermor played 6 games of reserve grade and held his own in the seniors without setting the world on fire (which is OK for a 19 year old).
Jones played the whole season in reserve grade and the only forwards who were better were guys like Yates, King and J Saf, who have played a lot of firstgrade.
Fermor probably made up a lot of ground on Jones this off season, because it's his first, and Jones' 3rd firstgrade offseason, but he'd still be behind I think.

Guerra can’t play 80 anymore last year he’d play 70 and come off cooked at the end

Just posted this on Tooheys news in response to his side but think it belongs here as well.

For my money I would run with size and muscle in the engine room first up , with which ever hooker just moving them around in calculated, premeditated pattern.

8. Klemmer
9. Levi
10. Gavet
11. Fitzgibbon
12. Guerra
13. Glasby
14. Mann
15. Ese ese
16. D saf
17. Sione

Starting pack should be tough for softening up , which is why I have gone for Gavet over Esse/ Safs ( still plenty of size , skills and they will be much better after the heat is gone from the game).
Glasby will work hard and not go missing at lock, nor will he have to with Guerra and Fitz on either side to stiffen up D on either side.
I have started Levi ahead of Mann only because of Manns versatility ( watched game 25 and he gave us grief and is a competitor who will contribute where ever he slots )
Sione ( if he needs to be in the 17 ) offers more off the bench in short bursts either 2nd row or centre
