Toohey's news reporting today that Moga isn't expected to be rushed into the team and won't be in the 17 come round one. He'll play NSW Cup first.

Gives a guy like Hymel Hunt a shot I'd imagine. Guy sounds keen to cement a spot from what I've read in his interview today.

Hunt, Ross and Sione is pretty solid depth.

The idea of Moga playing half an hour in reserve grade was only reported two days ago so doubt it’s changed since then.

Moga came straight back into firstgrade last year after a few opposed sessions and a little bit of trial time, and he was as rusty as any player ever (is the kind way to describe his form).
If we actually have depth and options, it would be crazy to throw him in even colder this year than last. I wouldn't even consider him till he has had a good 80 minute run in reserves.

He has had A shoulder opp, his 4th knee reco and played 3 first grade games in the last 18 months. It would be silly not to start him off with short minutes in reserve grade first.
After that he should have to perform better at training and on the field to take the centre position off who ever is playing there.

To be honest I’m more interested to see how Hunt goes in the centres over Moga anyway. Moga has the size, but Hunt also has the size and plenty of potential as well as not being injury prone.

Id give Moga a few weeks in reserves we don't want the same thing happening as last season and Hunt seems to be a good replacement and if he doesn't work out Mann could do the job until Moga is ready ...

I reckon you're right, unless another contender has an outstanding on pre-season.

I was being cheeky, Ross will most likely be in Reggies this year.

I think Rossy’s time at the club, especially in first grade is diminishing. The club are still looking to offload him so I doubt he’ll see much time in the top grade unless we’re hit significantly with injury.
