Your team for 2019

I can't see any benefit of KP playing 5/8 all I can see is him making 30 tackles a game

I said it a while back the only way I'd be happy for KP to play 5/8 is if we signed another gun fullback

Agree and disagree maybe we can play Lino at 5/8 but Watson isn't cutting it there imo he's better off at the back or utility.

Even his worst games were better then Lamb and Cogs IMO.
Yes he wasn't a organized half but we signed him for 2 reasons.
1 to run and threaten the defense.
2 set up tries or score tries.

On the games he played I'd give him a 7.5/10 for the year.
 
I think Watson was coming along nicely but id like to see how he goes at 1 as well heaps of people said 1 was his best position before we bought him .

I don't see him as a gf winning 5/8 and that should be our aim I don't think we can compare him to Cogs and Lamb when he's on 500k for that money I expect polish and some of his ball playing was terrible imo.

Money has nothing to do with it though once they're on the field,
With a healthy roster and Pearce in control I could see Watson carving it up tbh. He had how many games this year with a fit team around him? And a pack on the front foot?
Be lucky if its 2 games, yet he did have some brilliant moments and never had a bad game IMO.
 
Watson had a couple of shocking moments too.
Both he and Ponga have things to work on in the off season, mainly their passing in clutch situations.

Only big moment Watson had that I remember was when he made a clean break drew the fullback and passed to a bindi with a player on a free run to the try line.

I can forgive that as he made the opportunity in the first place.
 
He made a clean break and threw a bad pass on a couple of occasions. At least he’s making clean breaks. He made one against Melbourne where he burnt Munster and Curtis Scott. He looked quicker than any of our players including Ponga.

He did that twice first time cost us a try the second didn't.

This is why I think he's better as a fullback not the person putting people into holes but hitting holes and sniffing around the ruck.

Pity the Roosters didn't still have Watson to replace that injured half they took into the grandfinal.
I mean, who needs a guy with kicking, passing and organising skills when they could have had a guy who has 3 good runs a game.

The knights are not idiots for giving him the 300k he thought he was worth.

If he was willing to stay for 200k I'm sure he'd still be around, but he thought he was worth more and ended up with less playing for Wyong.

If he plays more then 5 games for the roosters in 2019 I'll happily buy you a new roosters jersey Billy.
 
I think Lamb playing so young has affected him, pretty happy to have Lino instead for now.
