Your NSW Blues Side For 2012

In my opinion, it should be 1. Dugan or Gordon, probably more Dugan 2. Hayne 3. Jennings 4. Lawrence 5. Uate. Either way I think Hayne and Uate need to be on the wings, and Lawrence has to be one of the centres

1 Hayne
2 Gordon
3 Idris
4 Lawrence
5 Uate
6 Soward
7 Carney
8 Galloway
9 Ennis/Farrar/Buderus
10 Snowden
11 Watmough
12 Gallen
13 Lewis
14 T.Williams
15 Gidley
16 G.Stewart
17 Houston

Buderus won't come close to Origin this year unless he has an amazing year, but i think 2012 will be his last.

At the most the players that will have a chance of playing are Boyd, Costigan, Snowden, Gidley, Uate, Houston and maybe Mullen.

That's quite a chunk out of our team and it will be just as exciting watching new players come in.

When Buderus had that interview in Newcastle, they asked him about Origin and he didn't rule it out. I think he just said he wanted to concentrate on the knights first and he'll see when that time comes around.

The funny thing is, he's probably still better than the current NSW hooker, Ennis lol.

His better then Ennis & Farah put together... I hope he goes into Rep footy retirement & only plays for the Knights

This is what makes this thread a bit pointless IMO ... you're right, anything could happen in the next 12 months. Hayne could score 5 tries in every single game he plays between now and then, or he could get dropped back to the NSW Cup!

or we could just go with someone who does score around 5 tries a match: NATHAN MERRITT he should have 10 nsw caps under his belt yet he is somehow overlooked for hayne who was playing terrible! ricky stuart needs to pick on form not origin experience im sick of losing so try something new and see what happens

Hayne only played one game of last year's series on the wing. And NSW won that game, so it was hardly the crucial selection error of the series.

People love to bag Hayne for some reason, but the fact is, NSW would have lost by even greater margins without him in the side in recent years.

Hayne has the most potential in the world in my mind. He could be matching it with Benji and Thurston at the top if he learned to be consistent...especially with what he did two/three years ago. You might say that it was just a hot patch...but we all saw some magical stuff in that period.

The guy has a huge boot, he's deceptively quick yet big enough to play in the second row and can pass as well (sometimes it's a bit inconsistent). Even when not recreating the form he showed a few years ago, he's still one of the better NSW players. If he ignites and starts playing off instinct, he'd probably get man of the series.

Hayne should be in Origin on the wing. Stewart and Dugan will be battling it out for the FB spot. Dugan is a better tackle breaker while Stewart is faster and backs up the runners better. That's upto Sticky to figure it out.

Stewart or Dugan at fullback is just as good as Billy but just lack Origin experience. Hayne should always be on the team, but due to his 'inconsist' form he shouldn't be at fullback. Stewart/Dugan wouldn't have that problem.

i think it has to be 1. stewart 2. hayne 3. lawrence 4. ? 5. uate. stewart is nsw's best fullback by a big margin imo. the other centre spot doesnt really matter to me, gordon, jennings, lyon, king, tahu, morris or a backrower like williams or scott, all would be fine choices if in form. the rest of the team is too hard to pick, gallen and gidley the only 2 certainties.
