Who will Bennett axe, retain & recruit for 2013?

Well he is currently at canberra and when i spoke to his aunty about his future she said that he has accepted his future lies elsewhere and although he loves newcastle he is looking at new clubs.
 
Anyone who follows junior on twitter knows that he goes to Canberra whenever he can that's where he came from, and i am pretty sure most of his fam is still there, so it could be nothing however i wouldn't be surprised if he does wined up back there
 
We were/will never going to retain Sa'u, it's obvious. He won't wait until 2014 for his spot to open when Tahu retires(?) or wait for an injury. He's too good to be in reserves.

As others say, Sharks/Raiders could use him. I've noticed about half of clubs right now are short on two good centres.
 
Mason, Snowden, Buderus, Tets, Rochow
Houston, Scott, Mckinnon, Costigan,
Cuthbertson, Smith, Hilder, Simms

Thats a nice looking pack of forwards right there I have been calling for another big prop but Rochow is a big guy and is playing well so he will do .
 
Rumour doing the rounds that the Knights are chasing 21-yr old Kurt Baptiste (Broncos) to groom, and replace Buderus.

Wasted signing imo when we have Gids who can take over when Buderus retires then Adams who could take over when Gids retires.

Also Late Mail man tweeted that Smith is a certainty, Stagg is possible as is Harrison from Raiders since he is apparently on the outer. Would love Smith and Harrison!!
 
Adams will be 26 next week which is fine because he is a late bloomer, however he is not pushing for a spot. He got his chance and didn't do much wrong but didn't do anything special either. Whilst Buderus is there and playing well there is no point having Adams on the bench playing 15 minutes.

Gidley wil not play hooker, he will be in the halves next year... nothing is going to change there.

Other than that there aren't many hookers coming through. Redman has turned more into a lock. Clydesdale looks promising but needs a full year in NYC next season.

Chris Knight left the club mid year for Penrith.

Remembering that we chased Cameron King hard, so Bennett has in mind replacement hookers to bring through.

Chris Adams is 26, I think if he was going to amount to anything out of the ordinary he would have done so by now, or other clubs would be knocking down the doors for him.

Baptiste is 21 yr old, played for QLD residents meaning he is one of the better hookers in the QLD Cup, and has a bright future from what I've heard. He wont be able to fulfil that at the Broncos with McCullough there. Obviously Bennett's first choice was Cam King, but I doubt Baptiste will be on anything special dollar wise. And if he doesnt turn out, I'm sure Bennett isnt putting all his eggs into one basket, and there will be fallback options (Adams, or some of our junior guys).
