Who will Bennett axe, retain & recruit for 2013?

Would make a decent signing for the knights regardless of Faas going before or after June 30. Should go after both him and Poore.

I don't understand why we would trade our players - Wes and Fa'aoso for half decent players like Harrison and Latimore, rather combine money and get a genuine star.
 
If Fa'aoso goes to Melbourne, he'll be one of the best impact players in the NRL!
Bellamy really does get the best out of his players....
And wtf, Latimore.?? Bennett wants the Dragons to relocate in Newcastle so the players don't have to travel far.. We'll have the whole Dragons line up by next year!
 
It would be extremely disappointing to see us sign Latimore. He's pretty solid for the Dragons but let's not forget AGAIN he is playing for a contract. In the context of his recent career form/ability do we want to waste $150k plus on this bloke. He offers much less at prop than Housten offers in the back row, he is a hindrance to our development as an attacking football side. To let Fa'aoso go is pretty poor form imo, is it no surprise that two of the best teams in the world are trying to sign him? Fk me...
 
Fa'aoso is the type of player Bennett doesn't want.
If anything is clear, he wants guys like Scott, Eddy, Houston, Rochow, Snowden, Latimore etc who play long minutes and defend strongly for entire games.
He is not interested in Faas, Tets, Kyle O'Donnell, filipo, Cory Paterson, Kaufusi or any other high impact, low workrate type players.
 
I'd personally love the swap of Wes for Harrison then use the money from Fa'aoso/Tuimavave/Edwards on Mose Masoe and Justin Poore and resigning mason.
I also like the look of Geroge Burgess (not that i think he would leave SSR), ive been watching him in the lower grades and he's gonna be a star, would be a great buy.
 
Does anyone else think that Trent Hodkinson would be an awesome signing for us? I know he's not off-contract until the end of 2013, but he's playing reserve grades and he is too good for that. I don't rate Kris Keating nearly as higly as Hodkinson but he fits the style of play the Doggies are playing whereas Hodkinson doesn't, he wants to play a more structured (Wayne Bennett) style and the Dogs are very off-the-cuff which suits Keating. We lack an organiser and he is a great one, would allow Mullen to play a more relaxed game at 5/8 and run the ball, move Gidley back to fullback where he plays his best footy and Boyd to the wing or centres.

I know I'm dreaming here but I just think this back line is better then anything we can have with Gidley in the halves:

1. Gidley
2. Uate
3. Tahu
4. Gagai / Boyd
5. McManus / Boyd
6. Mullen
7. Hodkinson

What excuse does he have for getting rid of Hilder ? 80 minute 40 odd tackle player. Not even Bennett knows what type player he needs/likes anymore.

Isnt it funny how Hasler can change his game plans to suit his players, while Bennett is looking to change his players to suit his game plans...

Well just for the record, apparently Hilder leaving the club is just BS rumours, despite him being dropped.

He hasn't played the last couple of weeks so he can get his noggin checked out. Has barely played a game without hurting his head since he was almost scalped.

If the stars don't align Bennett may not be successful. After so many rounds of the same failed strategies why isn't he asking himself if he should be changing his tact. Good point about Hasler, its actually pretty worrying
