Website restore error

Investigating this further, and thanks to something that Jekk sent me, it looks like the website has been infrected with a virus. Please DON'T downlad any software when prompted by your web-browser while on this site.

I should have the problem fixed in a few minutes, it's not hard to fix. If you have downloaded stuff off here recently, then run a virus scan ASAP.

my virus protection (avast) ended up telling me this website has a virus but i ignored it lol. [ didnt download anything but ]

Until today I only had IE7 on the family computer (this one) when I was getting errors everytime I went on here. I decided go get 8 and no more errors.

James - is the error thing related to the virus?
i think it might of been because i couldnt open this site with firefox or opera but i could open it up with IE8? and i waas getting warning messages of a virus from avast. its quite bizarre

Yeah I couldn't work with firefox either, every time I entered a thread it would close automatically I was just like WTF and tried again for another 30 minutes before giving up lol

Same. I didn't download anything from the site, and did remove Adobe Acrobat Reader, as one of the virus is linked to PDF files.

Yeah, I'd say it would be a good idea to do this, as well as scan your computers thoroughly.

It is all fixed now though, the nice people at hostgator removed it for me. Basically the virus somehow got someones password who can upload stuff to this site (one of us admin), and altered the main pages so they linked to some dodgy thing, and tried to make you download it.

Sorry everyone, I hope nobody has had any big problems because of it!
