We are not Premiership contenders

We may not be genuine contenders but we are also not as bad as many 'fans' seem to be making us out to be. The only reason I would say we aren't contenders is a lack of experience in finals, in stand alone games we are more than capable of beating the top sides, remembering we have already beaten the Dogs, Dragons, Titans and Sea Eagles this season.

Friday night was poor, but we were under strength and doesn't make us a bad team.

It was leaked, so it would have come out anyway...

It was leaked at the Roosters, someone is getting in trouble because of it, it was like the U/20s team trainer or something....

Don't say things you don't know. Brad Fittler actually said the under 20's strapper knew before me. It would have been leaked at some stage anyway with the amount of media attention on the game.
 
thanx to the roosters for recking our season not BS i too think we'll make the 8 and be lucky to make the 2nd week but u never know
 
We can't come 7th or 8th coz the Bulldogs or Dragons would absolutely crush us, despite us winning against them this season.

I beg to differ, its the first season these groups of players have played together and i believe that they will stumble, it will come down to finals experience and if our boys make the finals then you watch the fruit grow from our tireless efforts since the departure of Joey.
 
I've got no doubt we'll make the finals.

What I'm worried about it how high up the 8 we can finish. I'd prefer finishing 4-5-6, that way, if we do lose first week, we've got some hope of making it to the second week.
 
to be honest i don't think top 4 is a great possibility for us anymore. it doesn't matter though, we've shown that when we're hot, we will beat any team. dragons and bulldogs show that.

just to set the record straight, in no way did i expect a win on friday night with all the players out, but i was angry at the effort that was displayed. it was diabolical.
 
Top 4 is a possibility. I would say this week we will win while Storm lose to the Dragons. We vs them in 3 weeks which should really tell whether we make the 4 or not. Anything can happen so dont rule it out just yet.
 
To have any chance of a top 4 finish we have to win this week and im not that confident.

If Gildey plays [ he probably will] and mullens plays [ 50/50] we should win but if they don't it will be a very tough game even though the roosters are last

How can you not be confident, we smashed the Roosters at SFS earlier in the year, were gonna have our stars back, we want to cement our finals berth, we need to avenge last weekends thrashing, and we need a win to settle the Knights morale with the BS stuff etc.

I reckon that id be pretty scared if i were the Roosters, and atm there getting a beat down by the Rabbitohs on a Monday night game, everythings in our favour, the only thing we cant do is what we did with the Tigers earlier in the year, but were at home, time to give the fans some confidence coming into the finals.

Don't forget, this game is at home. Makes a huge difference.

Maybe my confidence was mis-placed last week, but I can't see us losing this one in a million years.
 
The ones i think we should win easy we seem to lose... ie Eels and Warriors. So im not so confident going into this game. But seriously the Roosters are really really bad, we woulda put 40 on them play as badly as we did Fri night
 
dragons would be the only team i wouldnt be confident in playing in the finals. They have shown to be miles ahead of others teams. We beat em earlier but they have gotten stronger, and we have been hit by injuries. Plus the Wayne Bennett finals factor.

Bennett doesn't have a great finals record of late.

Since they won in 2000, Brisbane have barely won a single finals game. Even in 2006, they lost in the first week.

Grand finals is a different story, of course (refer to sig).
