Vegas 2026

I have, a couple of times. I saw the Warriors team with Kevin Durant on it, and my Spurs in the last Kawhi Leonard year before he backstabbed us/was backstabbed by the Spurs (depending on your perspective). Never seen LeBron in person which is a regret of mine.

Saw Kobe and Lakers when I went over ages ago. I wish I knew then, what I know now about his legacy etc. at the time I knew he was a great player, but didn’t really have much of an understanding of just how good. Didn’t really follow the NBA very much. Still don’t but I think I would love to see LeBron play now.

Also saw a NFL game with Raiders when they were at Oakland. (Budgeted 3 hours from kick off, to leave and get back to hotel to catch a flight). Think they just had started the 3rd quarter by the time I had to leave.

Caught a MLB game in Toronto more recently which was pretty fun.

Obviously very dependant upon the game and teams you get to see play. All have their pros and cons.

Don’t think Vegas will be an option for me, but by all accounts it would be a great time if you do get to go.

Confirmed by the Knights socials officially now. They will provide details for ticketing and hospitality arrangements in due tie.

Can't wait to see how PVL sugarcoats the 'commercial success' going into year 3.

Announcement at 10am today. Assuming it’s us, will anyone be heading over?
Keep an eye on James Hooper for those who do. He will probably live at the bar in his down time (which may be his whole time there). Lots of questions about his behavior the past two trips from those in the know in the NRL and teams that have been around and seen it first hand.

I have always wanted to go to America, but I'm not sure I want to go to a country where they'll ask me to see my social media in case I've been mean to President Thin-Skin.

If the Knights are going, I'm glad it sounds like it will be the Cows' home game, not often a happy road trip for the Knights.

Might have to get the COVID era "Crowd noise" soundtrack out if the Knights are playing like they have been this season heading into Vegas.

Actually, I don't think they get to take the full squad to Vegas due to costs, so that's a motivation for the players AOB could use to his advantage. So I guess that's a plus.

I might get arrested when I land there.

About 20 years ago, went there, rented a car in New York city, and drove to Washington DC.

Whilst there, got a parking ticket, dropped the hire car back and left the country, never paid it.

I'm imagining landing, going through airport security, scan my passport and the guy looks up surprised....you returned...CODE RED, CODE RED.

Trump will deport you

Pretty funny that PVL tried to get Trump to NRL in Vegas after Qatar just bribed Trump out in the open with a $400m jet. What's the NRL going to offer Trump for 2026? Two corporate box tickets and some Dragon's merch? lol

There was actually a warning put out in NZ today for exactly that reason:

Shocking stuff.

Your social media profile being investigated for anti trump sentiments, which then leads to increased scrutiny. Who wants to be strip searched and deported due to Trumps ego?

I mean he's not China/North korea bad, but i'm sure he would be if he could be. Trump is just a westernised version of Jong Un.

My wife passed on a conference because of some of the stories at the border she's heard from colleagues. I don't think the damage Trump has done to the US in just three months is over once the tariff chaos washes through.

I don't have social media, but I'd be deleting it a long time before planning a trip to Vegas...IDK that you can get travel insurance for being sent back on a whim either.

Obsessive vetting of tourists and other visitors particularly investigating their political views will damage the USA’s reputation as a tourist destination and will help not make America great again.

Well my parents just got back from the us and they said it's all ********. Everyone over there is quite happy and there is no political unrest. Media fools gold.......
