Woods went for glory 3 times in final 5 minutes instead od using some damaging centres and back rowers, same for Elliot on otherside, had an overlap cor McLean and Votano, nah I'll run it for the headlines. Lucky they got away with win in end.

Can't dispute their kicking games though, very good for 19 yr olds and Black as well.
 
Hopwood will do an NRL pre season next year for the first time and put on the best part of 10kg.
McKewn had an NRL pre season this year and he had a lot of impact in all his tackles.
Votano has played very little wing, but he did all he needed to do when thrown in there after an injury happened in the first few minutes.

Yeah, vision is a big part of development. You can see at this level lots of learning to do. I'd kill for Black's kicking game in hastings. That guy can kick a ball. It's actually upsetting to watch a guy like that just slam the ball from the 30m and jam the 15m line easily.
 
The big thing for Hopwood will be how handles the extra weight as he fills out more. Myles Martin had a similar build a few years ago and got significantly less agile as he got bigger. He could still be a handy player if the same happens to him but his current combination of size, agility and ball-playing as well as the apparent leadership qualities make him a really special prospect.
 
Happy that all 6 players in both games put in excellent efforts. They will all be better players for it.
Our best were probably McKewn and McKewn.

I'm glad I watched that. Was restringing my bass at the same time so only half watching, but Hopwood seemed to be everywhere and very active. Our 3 boys all looked good.

The team should have taken more advantage of their opportunities, but the tight score kept the game exciting.

3 from 3 NSW, come on!
 
So Matt McKewn
I had it in my head that he played at least 1 game in the halves, but I looked back through Matts this year and Johns cup last year and most games he started on the bench in 14 and interchanged with the 9, but he also stayed on and was eventually interchanged with a forward, so i'd say he is a hooker/lock.
It will be a lot harder for him to make rep sides, especially since he is stuck behind our very good 9 in Matts (Diesal Hagan).
 
2025 NSW State of Origin Under 19s side will be announced tomorrow. Will be interesting to see how many of our lads are selected.
 
Watching the perfect lead up to SOO on GEM - Antiques roadshow. Some dirty old cup just got valued at 6k.
 
The best part for the Knights was Mariah Brown did very well defending against a big second rower.
The worst part was Evah McEwen was kept very quiet by little Mariah Brown.
