Tyson Gamble discussion

Big Willie is still not a fan of the Gamblor. Says he's a 14....which I agree with.

He also says he doesn't belong in FG, but I think he means as a 7, as he criticises the Knights for having a half-combo of a subpar (Mason's words, not mine) 7 and Sharpe (who we know is still developing).

Who cares what Mason thinks?

I agree Mase is an arse, but that doesn't make him wrong that Gamble is a 14.

Amazed we haven't found a way to move Hastings on, given he's clearly not playing FG this season...be interested to know what he's doing next year. Retirement?

He's sort of right, the Gamblor isn't the 7 in any serious team. But there's currently no better option at the Knights.
Can't stand Mason but of course he is right . Said last week he will be reserve grade captain next year . Love the guy as a competitor but his skill doesn't match his heart !

This is a bit grim but could see Gamble becoming a full time middle next year. I’m not sure he’d be that good at it, but he’s sizeable enough so if he added 5-7kg to his frame I could see that being the plan going forward.

Can people please check what thread they are posting in? What Willie Mason thinks of Gamble really has nothing to do with 2026 Recruitment and Retention. It’s me who has to move everything when it’s in the wrong place and it takes a while. So just a polite request. :)

As for Mason’s comments - does Gamble deserve more than one game back from injury before he gets slated in the media? From what I saw he was a clear upgrade on Cogger and Crossland.
