TV coverage changes for 2012 - Matthew Johns to Fox, Ray Hadley to Nine

I can't believe Fox have relegated my favourite commentator Braybrook to Toyota Cup and this dull-as guy is doing first grade!!!
 
the dull guy you speak of james was he the guy who was calling the storm raiders cause if so i couldnt agree more, it felt like i was watching a game of park footy with some guy on his first day calling the action

Yep, that was the guy. He has done Toyota Cup the last few years as well, and was none too exciting doing that either.

Bring back Braybrook!!!

I'm really disliking Ray Hadley as a commentator right now. :| Vossy was way better than this.
 
He says a million words at a time. I don't know he breathes haha. It doesn't help that his voice is really irritating as well.

Bring back Vossy!!!
 
I like Hadley, I enjoy listening to him on the radio so don't have a problem with him.

He will be calling our game next week.

I saw a bit of the replay today ... his conversion commentary took the biscuit. "Thurston moves in, his foot hits the ball ..." ... Yes, this is generally what happens when a player kicks the ball, Ray!!! Even if I wasn't watching the game, I wouldn't need what a kick is explained to me! :lol:
 
Ray's style of commentary suits radio, not TV. He's better off staying on radio. I like him as a commentator but TV is stretching it.
 
Hell no!!! RABS IS THE BEST, his banter with gus get a bit annoying sometimes ill admit but he is handsdown the best pbp caller in australia.
I actually dont mind hadley, i do agree he is often over discriptive but i dont mind that, he ****s all over vossy
see they dont even have him on the footy show anymore!!:D
 
After hearing Ray Hadley during the RWC last year, he was always going to be a pain on TV. Bring back Voss, not just for the games but the Roast as well.
 
I really don't like this "new image" Matty is trying to display on Fox. Did anyone think his comments about the Italian were way out of line? I dont think that fan meant any malice by what he said, just having a stir. Also didn't like his comments about the Knights

I don't particularly like his constant bagging of NZ.

As a long time supporter of his who is from NZ, it's pretty crap to hear that rubbish all the time.
 
Agreed wholeheartedly Packo. Matty has turned into a very bitter man since he left channel 9.

Everyone knows the guy is full of himself and he didn't want to feel embarrassed by an ordinary fan of the game.

An overrated TV "talent" too.
