What’s this mean? Last night the historical night saw Nathan Tinkler take ownership of the Newcastle Knights. Whilst his conversation with Cronulla’s Kade Snowden is known throughout the rugby league community, the conversations we don’t know about have made the future for the Newcastle knights look increasingly bright.

Wayne Bennett was in Newcastle last night as Tinkler was announced as the winner. By his side, Captain Kurt Gidley and current coach Rick Stone.

On another interesting note, Both Kade Snowden and Jamal Idris, also targetted by Tinkler were absent from Sharks and Bulldogs training yesterday. Both Sharks and Bulldogs Officials Refused to comment on the matter.

In other news regarding more closer to home news and less out of the Blue, Newcastle’s possibly now second favorite son (after Tinkler) Andrew Johns has been brought back to work with brother Matthew as Tinkler wants to bring a family atmosphere and “why not start by bringing Newcastle’s Favorite brothers back”

Wow is all i can say. Truth, Myth?
 
Tinkler is my new hero. If someone said to me in 2007 in 4 years time we will have been heavily rumoured to sign Wayne Bennett of all coaches & are now one of the most financially stable teams in the NRL i wouldnt of believed it, only up hill from now on hopefully (:

can it all just be a Coincidence. Tinkler not at the meeting. Bennett in Newcastle, Idris and snowden not at trainging??
 
You wouldn't want to be up for contract negotiations this season.
I'm guessing there wont be too many getting renewals if all these people are coming to the club next season.
 
Bennett was in newcastle because the dragons are playing in newcastle and probably to tell tinkler personally, he isnt coming to newcastle.

Well one thing is certain, we are going to come under the microscope with our salary cap every time now, which is good I think.
