The pre-season 2026 thread

Fox League have us predicted to finish last again.. but is anyone really surprised by Fox taking any chance they can get to write us off?

I think if we get things right early on and get some confidence we can push for a top 8 spot again. But a lot relies on injuries as our squad is very shallow

I think the Dolphins will be next year's biggest risers if they can stay at full strength.

Pretty certain they tipped us 4th one year and we didn't even make the 8.

You know what I don’t mind everyone picking us last. Hopefully if the players see it it will fire them up. Didn’t a few pundits tip Canberra to come last this year? Ricky always uses it as motivation. Then against us. Maybe Hollbrook could take a leaf out of his book.
 
I think being predicted to come last is fair, they do that ladder prediction on stats about games against top 4/top 8 teams and teams we play above us (which after last year that's everyone) so they are fair to say that, its not an opinion piece its just going off the previous years facts.
 
Dogs will miss the 8. No way the Chooks win the minor premiership either, they’re a 7-9 side.

We could definitely finish last with our lack of depth but if our key players stay fit we’ll be around 7-9 too.

Says he's looking forward to working with them.

I'm assuming that most are back at training and the last to return will probably return in this order:
Sandon Smith - Roosters made first week of finals.
Trey Mooney - Raiders made second week of finals.
Pasami Saulo (is injured tho) - Raiders made second week of finals.
Asu Kepaoa - Panthers made third week of finals.
Bradman Best - International duties.
Dylan Brown - International duties.

Peter Hola?? would assume he's come back with the rest due to Dolphins not making finals but not pictured as of yet
