I think it's some sort of pisstake that someone my age isn't supposed to understand - the product was a brand of condiments - dressing Ponga like a clown was to get attention.

That's incredible news. Suggests that even at 16 he is up to standard to do it, which says, firstly, that he is clearly a studious and committed athlete not just a talented one. But it also suggests that he's tracking, much like Best, to be ready for FG at 18.

Yes the article states they likely won’t apply to allow him to play in 2026 but they’d like to get him up to speed for 2027.

Hopefully that's Gagai's replacement sorted. People underestimate the hole Gags will leave in our roster. You can’t just 'move Schiller into centre' and not expect that edge to be considerably weaker. We needed a Seve to come through at the right time.

Obviously there are no promises with young talent, but usually the outside backs that debut at 18 tend to have long careers. Its actually a somewhat consistent statistic. So this is very promising

Seve could be a total weapon. Or he could be more like Sua'alii, where his physical advantages dont translate all that well to FG. I guess we'll have to wait and see. But at the very least we've got a new freak winger/centre to be excited about.
