The Official Random Things About NRL Players Thread

This is the Thread where you Just tell us something about any NRL player weather it be there hair cut, funny story. . . anything.

Im going to start it off, one thing that annoys me is Ben Cross's hair cut and the like spike that comes down in the middle of his fringe. Argh that annoys me something chronic. :brickwall:

that knights player in the under 20's comp that has a better hairdo then mat peterson had
Kalifa, i was trying to get him to join up on the Forum this morning! he said Maybe during the offseason. Good player for only a 18 Year old.

Haha fair enough. In future, ask him about any signings/resignings and losses for the 20s. He should know who is leaving etc.

Kalifa is awesome. Nothing really annoys me about players, I have more things to worry about haha.

Yeh, Soward and Witt have this dressage type thing going with their set up for kick lol.

Kane Cleal is so disgusting I wish he would cut his hair!!

Well had to do a bit of research, it happened in a game in 2004:

The 29-year-old league star has revealed he has ignored advice to have an operation to remove a chipped bone in his throat which is pressing against his vocal cords every time he speaks.

"I don't really want to sound like the Godfather, but I don't really mind," Lockyer told The Sunday Mail from New Zealand recently.

"I guess if I went to a karaoke bar I would probably only be able to do Joe Cocker.

"I know it is a husky voice and people make the odd joke, but I don't get upset about it. It is just part of me."

Lockyer said he first noticed trouble with the voice after being hit in the throat during a game with the Broncos in 2004. The knock left him almost unable to speak and his throat was sore for days.

But 18 months ago an X-ray on a broken cheekbone uncovered the severity of the throat injury.

"The doctor said, 'You've also got a small broken bone in your throat and it is pushing on your vocal cords'."

Despite advice to undergo an operation, Lockyer saw no "real point" to have it done during his football career.

Thanks to google

Interesting. I reckon I would've got the operation, but it's also a smart thing to leave it till after footy.

a laugh if he got the operation and he had the Highest voice in the world, like that guy of big brother. If i was locky i would be like "put the bone back in"
