Who's watching the Champions Trophy so far? I stayed up way too late watching NZ vs Sri Lanka last night ... it was a low scoring game, but as exciting as they come as NZ snuck home by one wicket.

Both sides completely messed up their referrals challenging decisions that were correct. Then both sides got obvious wrong calls against them and couldn't do anything. Lead to some heated moments in the middle!

There's a lot of optimism in the NZ side that they can take this out ... should be a great trans tasman clash on Wednesday!!!

Exciting finish last night...

I have been impressed with NZ they have been performing well in the shorter formats of the game...

I though Australia were Gallant in defeat to England and will get better...

The game on Wednesday will be a close one... Australia to win ;)
 
Suicide run attempted there and Hughes is run out! 10/2. :o

This is the NZ cricket team, you gotta live it up on the rare occasions they are going ok! :lol:

Going Okay ?? James they have been going great !! :)

Whereas Australia has been poor in all formats lately...Clarke being out is not helping but that's no excuse for the crap form we have shown...

Dave Warner getting drunk and hitting English players ain't helping either :lol:
 
Rained out, just as it was looking very evenly poised, boo!!!

Not sure what NZ needs to get through now, they probably still have to beat England to be on the safe side.

Good game James both teams were doing well i thought :)

The match was well on its way to being a hard fought close one then typical bloody English Weather ruined it :fist:

Not sure where that result places Australia either....
 
Australia need to win their final game against Sri Lanka, and hope a few results go their way.

Whoever wins NZ vs England will definitely be in the semis. The loser of that game is still probably favourite to nab the other semi spot.
 
It's forecast for plenty of rain in the NZ England game ... if that happens NZ will be through to the semis. Bit of a concern over their form though, they've gone off the boil.

Pretty shocking luck for West Indies to miss out on the semis in the other group overnight. Well ahead of the Duckworth-Lewis target, they lose a wicket, it starts pouring down and they don't get another ball bowled ... scores end up tied! They did a South Africa-style debacle on South Africa!!!

I would like to see NZ beat England if the rain holds out because if they do and Australia beat Sri Lanka tomorrow Australia will be through to the Semis as well :D

I couldn't believe it when I woke up this morning and saw the result of that game last night !!

The terrible English weather has played a big part in this tournament and robbed everyone of some good cricket....Such a shame :(
 
Well, it's currently pouring down, which means NZ is in the semis, yay! Only off the back of one on wicket win, but oh well. :P

If this game does end up being rained out (and it definitely looks that way) then Australia can still make it, but they will have to absolutely thump Sri Lanka to get their net run rate above England's.
 
Well, NZ lost to England and Australia lost to Sri Lanka, meaning both sides are out!

Usssseless from NZ! One dayers are meant to be the one form of the game we're any good at! It's the first time in the last five World Cups or Champions Trophy that we haven't at least made the semis. :fist:

Now get rid of Clarke and Invers and all the touchy feely crap will be gone.
Lehman as coach, Waugh as selector, and bring back Hussey as captain and we are a chance.
 
Wow !!

We smashed India by 72 runs in the first game of this 7 match ODI series and in the second game we have scored 300+ again...

Winner of this series get's the number 1 ranking as well...

Australia Currently 4/308 with 4 overs left :D
 
Australia finish on 5/359 which is the highest total scored by Australia in an ODI in India and our equal 6th highest ODI total of all time..

They finish 1/362 with 6 overs left...

Still a great performance from the Aussies but India were better on the night...

I am stunned :shock:
 
Holy moses, a nine wicket win chasing down that many! Pretty incredible effort from India. :applause:
