How good was Pattinson? Poor batting from the Kiwis for sure, but the movement he was getting to tear through the top order was quite promising. Reminds me of Jason Gillespie from about 6-8 years ago.

Shocking middle order display. Although the ball was doing wicked things to be fair. Warner player like a boss.

Credit to the Kiwi bowlers, especially bracewell, who went nutter. It was a really really tense last hour to the game, that was for sure. Like two decision reviews, both against the Kiwis. One of them looked out for all money but it was going down leg but a whisker.
 
Well done to Lyon as well to stick around as long as he did... The ball he got out, just before that I thought we might actually win... back to being negative all the time again :P
 
Australia's middle order choked massively! Well done to NZ, the whole way through the test I thought Australia always had the upper hand, but just goes to show what Test Cricket is like and how the momentum can change so easily!
 
That is why Test Match Cricket is so much better than the other forms, great knock from Warner(who showed the temperament I didn't know he had) and outstanding bowling from Bracewell we were lucky to get as close as we did because hawkeye or not the 1st LBW appeal on Lyon was out.

A disappointing loss for Australia, hoping Sunshine comes in for Hughes and Harris for Starc for the Boxing Day Test.
 
Test matches are the best form of the game for all money ... and I must say the last few years there's been some absolute beauts! Better than ever.

I dunno how Australia were ahead the entire game NF, when they needed the biggest score of the match, in the fourth innings, to win.

Well done Warner, looks like he's nailed the test opening spot.

Looks like NZ have got a replacement for Bond, in Bracewell, too.
 
So many players need to go IMO! I'd like to see
Watson, Warner, Marsh, Usman, Clarke, Haddin, Pattinson, Cutting, Lyon, Harriss, Siddle.
Now that IMO is a great looking team! Only reason Haddin is there is cause there isn't really any one else to pick!!

Australia's now lost 16 tests since 2008 ... Only Bangladesh and West Indies have lost more in that time. :o

Hodge is retired and Katich is playing like garbage was rightly sacked. My team would be

9. Harris/Bollinger
10. Pattison
11. Lyon

In 7 innings, his performance over the previous 12 months warrents selection. it's funny everyone picks Marsh who also performed in Sri Lanka but has a poor FC record and is injury prone. I'd prefer Hussey and Ponting and probably Khawaja too.
 
The Aussies are a disgrace but it all starts at the top. Clarke wont last as captain, he isn't a leader nor has the support of the Australian public. In my point of view, he hasn't earnt that level of respect. He has no presence about him.

He will never stand up in a whole series when it counts.

Katich spoke his mind, and said what a lot of others are holding in about him.

As for the team, it's in shambles. I'd go with for Boxing Day:

The only players that should have their names in concrete for boxing day are: Watson (if fit) Pattinson and Lyon IMO
