Tevita Pangai Jnr

I was a big fan of Pangai last year, but if he’s asking for $1 million/year and serves up what he has tonight, it’s a hard pass from me. Would prefer to buy a good half to partner Pearce.

Had the same thought. He looks dangerous in broken field. That said, Donks have more forwards than backs I think, so it’d probably be some depth players they’d let go before Staggs I imagine.
 
I think Pangai & Mitchell have both been reading a little too much of their own publicity.

On another note you can see the influence of Adam O'Brien starting to come into effect at the Roosters. He has tweaked their attack a bit & they are playing a little differently to last year & once the players fully adapt to his structures they are going to be extremely hard to beat again. O'Brien is another very astute purchase by the Roosters.
 
Said it all along he is as over rated as anyone in the game. The next Dave Taylor without a shadow of a doubt. Hopefully it’s the Broncos that stump up the massive contract for him.
 
He’s way too inconsistent and anyone who thinks he’s worth a million has deadset lost the plot.
 
I think the question rather than being 'is he worth a million dollars' should be 'how much is he actually worth' ??

Although I think the Dave Taylor comparisons aren't near the mark (I doubt he'll end up fat, washed up playing for the Capras) I think he still has plenty to prove. If we do have 800K-1Mil to spend I'd rather spend it on a 'can't miss' type player.

Pearce, Ponga & Klemmer our our biggest investments and they were all fairly safe bets, even though people were saying it was a risk to pay KP that money.
 
He’s got a long way to go before he even considers himself on 1m.

400k for 2 years contract I think would be fair.
 
He has always been a guy who looks like he could do anything if he could be bothered.
Even in our under 16s he left you thinking we could win every game by 50 if he could be bothered to have a go more than 10 minutes a game.

I suspect he's reached an agreement with someone for next year or he'd still be making an effort. If he has, Brisbane might as well release him, he won't play another good game for them.
 
Id not be surprised to see him get something north of 650k, has all the ability but has brain farts and goes missing to often for me.
Atm the Broncos need a leader in the pack, this guy thinking his worth 1m should be that guy.... but never will be.
