Well at least pearce is gone, mullen might get a go next year, right now im soooo angry, NSW beat themselves, first with pearce being halfback and 2nd by not scoring any points and having so many chances! QLD just held on tonight and they still won

he was going into touch wasn't a good kick, but only 30 second left on clock so what you going to do when ya half can't do it
 
Very happy with James McManus tonight though. He had one bluey but we're all entitled to one, especially after Merritt's disaster. He took great great marks all night and him and Morris shut down GI and Boyd pretty well all night.

Yeah he did well and should be happy with his performance. Could of taken a few more carries but.
 
QLD don't beat us, we beat us. We put ourselves in a great position for the last 20 minutes of the first half and dominate them, carry that on into the second half but manage to screw every chance or break we made with the stupidest errors, drop balls and terrible kick options. I hope to never see Pearce in a Blues jersey ever again. He couldn't control a game and lead a team to save his bloody life. Farah then makes a poor 40/20 attempt when we had all the momentum and better options out wide with the last 5 minutes. QLD know how to control a game. We do as well, but can't turn it into the points.

Dugan did have a better game then game 2 but honestly, we missed Hayne out there tonight as well as Gallen. McManus was great just the couple of errors put him down a bit but still got back up and did his job - wayyy better than Merritt.

I honestly can't explain the frustration and anger going through me at the moment. Just please Blues - WIN A GODDAMN SERIES FOR ONCE IN YOUR FRIGGING LIVES!
 
McManus was good tonight so was Watmough, Fifita, Bird, Farah, Dugan and Jennings...

That's the most disappointing thing about we played so well and created so many opportunities and Somehow we blew it...There was at least 3 genuine try scoring situations that we somehow fuc*ed up

NSW were the better team for the majority of the game, we even had a lop-sided penalty count towards us and an 84,000 strong home crowd...

If we can't beat QLD with all those things in our favor then we hold little hope of beating QLD when they are at their best...

2 Games at suncorp next year...not writing us off but it doesn't look good :-/

Thought the forwards were great, the outsie backs were great, Farah was fine, but had to do it all himself. The halves provided absolutely nothing, though. Pearce's kicking and options were atrocious. He's played badly at this level before, but that was one of his worst.

NSW had enough ball inside Queensland's 20 to win a couple of games, but barely fired a popgun. The blame for this has to lie with the halves.

McManus I thought was better than Tate, who won MOTM, so he can't have gone too badly.
 
We were easily the better side imo. Halves were the difference. Both Pearce and Maloney aren't upto it. Reynolds and Carney should be the halves imo. Don't know how Tate got MOTM. I would of givin it to Scott myself. Owell next year we will win I guess.

Brett Morris
Tried hard to spark the Blues in the second half but just couldn't find the space - 7
Michael Jennings
Never saw his blistering pace but his defence was outstanding on the left edge - 7.5
Josh Morris
Did a great job on Inglis and was heavily involved in McManus try - 7
James McManus
Apart from a second half mistake, he was near flawless with a try and great under the high ball - 7.5
James Maloney
Threatened a couple of times but is he the answer at 6? The jury is still out - 6
Mitchell Pearce
Promising first half but composure under pressure for the crucial plays was poor. Kicked average - 6
Aaron Woods
First series but he still has plenty to prove that he is up to this level. Used sparingly - 2.5
Robbie Farah
Worked his butt off and schemed around the rucks. Couple of wrong options but did all he could - 7.5
James Tamou
Not even close to the form he showed in last year's series. Second half stint better than first - 6
Ryan Hoffman
His best game of the series. Worked hard and did his best to hurt the Maroons on the edge - 7
Luke Lewis
A far cry from his opening Origin performance and injured in the second half - 5.5

Played tough as usual and did his best to inspire the Blues with big hits and aggression - 7.5

Andrew Fifita
The future of the Blues upfront. Was outstanding in quality and quantity - 8

Scored the try to give the Blues a sniff at the end and made good impact - 6.5
Anthony Watmough
Turned the game when he came on in the first half and was a serious threat all night - 8.5
Boyd Cordner
Tough initiation but will be far better next season for the experience at this level - 5
 
James Tamou? You are kidding aren't you? I thought he had a fairly solid game except that miss on JT but then again Farrah was just as bad at fault. Woods was non existant. Wouldn't even know he played unless you looked at the team sheets. Hoffman had a pretty good game imo, before tonight I'd agree with you but tonight he stood up. Both the morris boys did nothing wrong and were solid in everything they did. Pearce and Maloney let us down big time and have to be held accountable for tonights loss.

Had a great battle with Jennings. Ran a great line for the match-winning try - 7

Apart from one first half error, he was outstanding. Always searching for work - 7.5

Did a great defensive job on Lewis and scored the opening try to set his side on the way to victory - 8

Calm, measured and composed. His ball for Hodges' try was arguably the crucial play of the night - 8

Got his side on the front foot early again and just kept churning out the metres - 8

The usual great captain's knock. Huge workrate and plenty of right options - 8

A couple of good off-loads but not his usual impact or workrate - 6.5

Tradesmanlike without being overly noticeable. Did his job - 6.5

Much quieter than in game two. His charges were kept in check by the Blues - 5.5

Capped off a great series with another big game despite the missed tackle on Merrin when he scored - 7.5

No I am not kidding about Tamou and if you looked at it neutrally instead of being biased you would know he down on his form and has offered little to NSW this year ....Snowden, Fifita and Grant are better options imo...Woods will be better for the experience...

Being "good" or "Solid" isn't going to cut it anymore....

The Morris boys have been there so long and we need something different...Ferguson offers a bigger threat to QLD...

McManus demonstrated he is up to origin standard tonight, Taufua and Uate are try scoring powerhouses who oppositions fear...

Hoffman's had his time and the pace and intensity is getting greater by the year....I'm not confident he can stand up to it in 2014...Cordner is the future

Blues played better and deserved to win, only thing that let us down are the halves! If we had decent halves with attacking kicking games we win the series! FFS, doesn't take a genius to see it, selectors!
 
McManus played great!

I think we would've won with Hayne in the side though.

I would've still had McManus in the team on the left wing :)

Woods is not an Origin player! Snowden or Grant are a must ahead if him next year!

Reynolds in 7 Mullen or Carney at 6

Not looking at it through biased cowboys eyes, never have been biased on this site. Tamou was not the problem this game and I believe you are reading into the average joe of Tamou being down on form this year. Sure he isn't providing the odd explosive run like last year but you look at his numbers and he is still getting through the same amount of runs, metres per carry and metres per game as he did last year. He only just ran for over 200m a couple weeks ago.

Josh Morris was the reason we kept Inglis so quite last year and again did a good job on him this series. To drop him would be insane. Brett Morris hasn't stood out in any games and could be up for dropping. Especially if Ferguson turns his sh*t around next year.

Hoffman proved a lot of people wrong last night and was one of our best. Can't drop him for that. Cordoned came on and while was busy in his time on the field he didn't provide the impact from the bench like the other 3 did. Was expecting him to be running good lines off his club halves but didn't.

Everyone knows Pearce and Maloney need to be gone ASAP.
